Hi. Thanks for response. Noz it is clearly connected to the Aircon on/off after playing today and seems independent of fan speed. It is a high pitched whistle/whine. The Aircon seems to work fine but I have read it might require regassing. Not sure how that manifests itself in the noise though. Rather than spending cash in doing the gas it would be great if others can confirm or provide alternatives.

Hi, i just picked up a 21 plate Octavia and didn't notice this but having driven a short while i can hear this whistling and it is rather annoying. Reading this thread makes me sad as i was hoping it was a leaf or something. Has anyone had any luck in resolving?
