Hi there, I have a 2008 SKODA OCTAVIA where the front wipers stopped working completely after being sat for a week, I have checked the fuse which is fine and as far as I am aware it does not have a relay, instead J519 module. The plug for the motor gets 11.5V at the live with the ignition on and around 9v-7v at the signal depending on the speed setting of the stalk. The ground seems to have too much resistance at 1.2 ohms which would suggest a poor earth. Before finding this out I tried 2 reconditioned motors that both didn't work when plugged in or power tested by putting 12v to the live and grounding the pin, I am skeptical about if this would actuate the motor though as I am unsure if the signal wire would also need power for the motor to actuate. It is also important to note that the rear wiper and washer jets both work with the bonnet down. If anyone knows where the front wiper motor ground wire goes to in the engine bay so I can check if it is corroded or has any other ideas on what could be the problem I would be very grateful. Thanks Myles
