  1. I had this problem, the pipes cracked on the other side due to flopping around and was leaking flue. Originally there is a bolt welded to the bottom of the car but it came off. I got the pipes welded and then drilled a hole through to the inside of the car, cut a cross in the carpet and then put the nut on, you can hardly see it and the mat goes over it too. I needs to be decontaminated before it can be welded. I would not leave it with cable ties incase the movement cracks the pipes on the back. I was told by garages they could not fix it and it would cost around £300.
  2. Cool, thanks guys. Thought it may have gunked up the turbo
  3. Could some one help me with an oil question. The local Motor Factor has sold me VW 505.00 in the past, after checking I should have been using VW507.00 because there is no DPF on my car. My question is will this have caused any problems ? PS. I know the VW507.00 is the long life stuff but I can't fine the normal oil for my car. Thank you.
  4. Ummmmm....I did mine at 80k on my 1.9tdi, is it really needed at 40k? Was going to do the water pump at 160k with the next belt change.
  5. Could not do the light test but I got a felt tip and drew a line across the disk, it all got rubbed out so it does look like the pad goes across the whole disk. I also tried putting paper down the side, it stops about 1.5/2cm down. Just never seen anything like it before. Its also starting to stop a little better as well.
  6. Hello all, its my car. Got them fitted and drove to work but could tell something was wrong, I know something is wrong I was just wanted someone could tell me what. Does it look like wrong pads or are they back to front ? Called the garage and they would would not take it they have fitted them wrong, they say that is how they should be.
