  1. Hi, Alasdair! I agree on the speaker front, I've seen it happen on multiple cars, no big deal to fix. The battery is most likely the original one seeing it's reporting a 68% charge, but thanks for the battle plan, that's actually a solid way of testing it. I just learned that the car was imported from Germany with ~65000 km on the clock without having the DSG serviced, and the owner here did it at a local shop, so if he can't provide me with a receipt, I will skip this car and go for either a 2021 with a bit more mileage and poorer trim (but a bit cheaper) or go for a very nicely specced 2019 Superb with the 140 kW engine. Thank you for your help, much obliged.
  2. Hi, everyone! I'm negotiating to buy a 2020 2.0 TDI Octavia MK4, and one of my conditions was an inspection at the local authorized Skoda dealer. The diagostic was fairly painless, seeing that most of the issues the car has can be explained by a weak 12V battery, and a weak keyfob battery: U140000 - Function limitation undervoltage B10CD00/B10F000 - BCM function limitations U151300 - Secure onboard communication BCM key not available - active B18B0F3 - VKMS key management program unrecognised, key request unavailable - active I'm wondering if anyone was met with these particular issues, though, and how complex would it be to fix them? B105F13 - Low frequency speaker front left interrupted B1658F0 - Front seat heating protection from overheating - active/static I must admit I haven't tested the audio system nor did I think of checking the seat heating. In any case, my plan was to knock the price down based on these issues, but before I go that far, I'd like to see if anyone has some details or experience with these.
