Ah OK maybe I rule out the drive shaft as the clunk is whne braking or easing off accelerator

I thought with new carriers and pads I might have ruled it out? The garage and dealer did both spot that the pads aren't in the two grooves, but the garage witnessed the same on another car so not potentially the issue. I had considered putting old carrier back on and Skoda genuine pad... Was just reluctant to spend more money on the same thing, in case it's something else?... Dealer says drive shaft OK and gearbox too. But could it still be that?

Hi yes front wheel drive.. I change oil and filter every 9 months Also, I've had this issue a year now, that's when it started, it started out a small issue when I steer in car parks, then developed to nearly every time I brake and now on bunny hops...

Hi.. 2 litre petrol auto hatchback with DSG (sorry not sure how to know which?), it's 2018 plate. Seems to the the fast model, but not VRS.

Just when I tap the brake or immediately let go of accelerator (as a bunny hop)...

Sorry. Just this morning I bunny hopped for over a mile in slow traffic and every time I let go of accelerator pedal it clicked, sometimes twice. As well as whenever I braked, which is consistent anyway. Sometimes it sounds like it makes the noise when I drive over a bump but that's not often it does this so may be a red herring.

Hi Desperately need any advice from anyone who has experience. Knocking noise when I brake (loud and clear every time I brake at slow speed, constant click/knock every time), coming from driver side, I think the wheel. Also sometimes when I accelerate and take foot off accelerator at very slow speed (usually just when cold) Actions up to now (in order) ... -replaced calliper glider pins (both sides, with decent grease) -replaced calliper carrier (both sides, after market, £50 each) -replaced brake pads (good brand, defi, £50) -took to dealer. They wanted to replace discs, pads and put back my old caliper carriers, £550! Mechanics at kwik fit (my friend), MOT garage and Skoda all struggling to trace. My friend suspects drive shaft due to a click when on ramp and moving wheel (or is this normal?). Car is 2018, 40k miles, automatic. Thanks all for any advice at all!!! Not sure changing carrier for Skoda original and Skoda pads will be helpful as surely the knock would have gone, or changed, since changing to the after market parts. There was no change. Maybe took a bit of time to start knocking again but it was within a day.
