Looking at Skoda Superb 2010 3.6 4x4 Wagon with 160,000 KM mileage
Greetings from Australia, I wanted some thoughts and advice on buying a skoda superb mk2 wagon with the 3.6 engine. He is asking for $7.2K AUD negotiable. Link to listing https://www.facebook.com/share/1JxkPBU9a6/ Good ~ Low-ish/average mileage driven - 10,000km per year since it left factory. ~ Strong service history (every 10,000km, and DSG done every 60,000km). ~ Last serviced October 2025. ~ Upgraded entertainment/centre screen and fascia to suit modern Pioneer Z5350BT, retaining native screens/functions (gives aftermarket Rear View camera potential i believe, instead of the OEM retrofit which requires cutting the boot). ~ Drives smooth and shifts fine ~ No weird engine sounds or interior rattles ~ Interior clean and well taken care of ~ No accident history Bad ~ Surface rust at top of front windscreen. ~ Small dents or scratches here and there, but no structural issues. ~ Potentially a smokers car (my wife said she could smell it). ~ Needs a cut and polish. ~ No first aid kit. ~ Currently on its 3rd owner (6-8 months) so I'll be the 4th. ~ Currently owned by a young Uni student owned so not sure if it gets thrashed/driven hard. I'm hoping to maintain and keep this car for a while. Can these cars go above 250,000KM mileage? Is buying one at 160,000KM just asking for trouble? I love this model and would like to keep it as long as possible so will take measures to maintain it well and drive with mechanical sympathy. Thank you very much for your help!

Are the centre cup holders big enough for fast food cups or bubble tea (boba milk tea)?
Thanks softscoop for the reply. I guess I'm not alone in thinking the door pockets and centre cupholders are a bit on the small side. Even the cup holders and door pockets in my wifes 2014 hyundai I30 hatch can hold large thermos bottles. It's a shame because the Skoda has so many great features but the cupholders and door bins are just a bit narrow - I've read reviews saying the car is actually a bit narrow compared to other cars and makes of similar years - exterior and interior wise. I guess this could be the reason why for the slim form factor of the storage and cup holders. Great idea with the cup holder clip, appreciate it!

Are the centre cup holders big enough for fast food cups or bubble tea (boba milk tea)?
Hi everyone, sorry for the barrage of odd questions. I'm looking at buying a 2011 Superb Mk ii 3.6 wagon (combi). My wife and I enjoy takeaway coffees and bubble teas fairly often, with the occasional fast food take out (large mcdonalds takeaway cups, mcflurries etc.) I'm wondering what your experience is with the centre cupholders holding these kinds of drinks because from the photos they look quite small to me.. Also are the door card storage bins wide enough to fit a water bottle? Say 600ml? They also look quite slim. Thank you for bearing with me with my funny questions.

Is it possible to convert push to start to turn key ignition start in a 2011 skoda superb v6 4x4?
Hi all, is it possible to convert the push button start in a (pre facelift) 2011 Superb MK2 3.6 V6 4x4 wagon to a traditional turn key barrel ignition start which are standard on the lower trim models such as 125 tdi, or 118 TSI? For electronics it seems there may be some hurdles to overcome such as ECU, immobiliser, steering wheel lock, software settings, wiring etc. But I'm hoping it could be simpler than that For the actual part swap it might be a little bit easier? It looks like the steering wheel housing trim may stay the same just need to find a second hand key barrel and get a key cut to match the barrel, or even order a new genuine part (keys + key barrel) from Skoda and get mechanic to sort it out? E.g. remove push button and replace with key barrel and connect harness. Main reason for this hassle is because I'm worried about relay attacks and thieves targeting push to start cars. Thank you for your help. I am based in Australia, so the wagon model is probably called combi in europe? but we are also RHD here and the push to start appears to be a factory option? Thank you for reading
