I have a 1.0 tsi etec Octavia 23 plate that I use as a taxi. The alternator went at 38500 miles and was replaced under the warranty October 2024. I had 48volt and 12 volt battery warnings so got it recovered to my local dealer. I’ve paid £165 for diagnostic and it the alternator that’s faulty again. It’s now done 110000 so out of warranty and the part is not covered as it’s already been repaired under warranty. The cost of the repair is £2150 and they are refusing any goodwill. I believe there is an issue with this expensive part although Škoda said there is not. I am going to take it to the motor ombudsman but would like advice from anyone that has had the same issue
