Hi, Bought a 2007 skoda octavia scout yesterday, for £1300. 60,000 miles on the clock, really clean & tidy throughout and drives spot on. Previous elderly owner who rarely used it and had it serviced each year from some receipts despite only having done 1000 miles or so in it. Had a new dualmass flywheel and clutch kit last year too. And the haldex system serviced serviced. I've got a couple of questions. The battery went flat on the previous owner, and when jump started the abs, traction control and steering light came on and stayed on, and the steering is slightly heavy. They said they had it plugged in and it came up as issue with abs pump module? Am I right in thinking that the abs pump/module needs replacing? The hose above the alternator is leaking oil onto the alternator but weirdly not hissing underload, obviously the oil isn't gonna do the alternator any favours so I'm guessing that wants replacing too. The cambelt was last changed in Jan 22, 6000 miles ago, I'm guessing this is OK still and wondered what the interval is. the radio is in safe mode, and the service history manual is missing, so how do I get the code for the radio? The front interior light won't work in any switch, the little side ones will, put the bulb in the back light and it works. There's a squeaking as you drive along, soon as I touch the brakes it goes away, so I'm guessing I might have a slight brake bind? Thanks!
