Yep, the key is £280 and I suspect when it finally shows up it'll be another £90 to pair it with my car. And I thought my local independent garage was expensive 🤣

Thanks. Just been to the local Skoda dealer and they said that they would not be able to reprogram the key as it (as you suggested) is programmed to another car. So a new key has been purchased (£270!) and will need programming to the car when it arrives, which I assume will require parting with another load of dosh!

I'm just looking for something to cover the lower boot floor that covers the whole floor when the rear seats are down. I'm not bothered about protecting the back of the car TBH. Sorry if that wasn't clear - the problem with piggy-backing on someone else's post. I want a flat rubber mat without lumps and bumps round the edges and that will stop stuff sliding around!

Did you find anything? I've just received one from CarMats4u.com and it's rubbish. I had a Skoda one in my previous 05 Octavia (came with it) but my 73 plate Octavia Estate has a carpet floor which is not good thing when you keep bees!

I've had a 2005 Octavia Estate and have just had to dispose of it after 241,000 miles. I've replaced it with a Octavia 1.5 2023 Estate with 128,000 miles on the clock. The Car warehouse place I bought it from only provides one working key, but there was another in the pack that doesn't work with the car. As the actual physical key in this second key doesn't actually match the on what works and that the Skoda logo is missing from the second key I have strong suspicions that this key has never worked with this car! I've tried various hacks from YouTube videos, but with no success. Is this a lost cause and I'll need to buy a new key or should it be possible to make it work with my car?
