This is the kind of advice I’m after thank you. Unclear on the haldex tbh - I will enquire but the fact they left it off the description makes me think it hasn’t been done recently. Are there other models you’d recommend (Skoda in general as well as yetis) look into instead? I think the price tag is for the lower mileage and 4wd but is higher mileage and newer a fair trade? Appreciate you may not be able to answer that question. Also with the estates - how do you think they’d handle with the odd rough track (eg bumps, raised ground etc)?

Hi all, Currently looking to upgrade from a 2021 fiesta(!) to a used family sized car. Been a long time admirer of Skodas and have looked at the Octavia / Superb, but we’re a very active family and have an allotment, go to the stables and make a lot of trips to rural wales, where the bottom of the fiesta has taken a beating. We’ve waited until moving from the city to the countryside to trade up. Current set up is 2 6ft adults, 2.5 year old and a medium sized dog. We are not tidy people and tend to use the car like a van a lot of the time to transport wood, pallets etc. Which brings me to the yeti. I’ve found a 2015 2.0L diesel 4x4 model with new cam belt, flywheel, brake pads, clutch. MOT history is spotless. It’s £11.5k with 55000 miles. Wondering if a) this sounds like a good example and b) if the age of the car is going to be a pain in the near future I’ve also been looking at the Karoq but I’m weirdly smitten with the yeti. How are they on long journeys in terms of comfort? Looking to take it to the continent later this year and next. And are there other models I should be looking at in the same price bracket?
