  1. Thanks very much 👍 I’ll see how I go with the OBDeleven but if the parasitic drain continues, I’ll get in touch. I ‘m only 15 minutes away from you anyway.
  2. No, nothing. The car drives fine and there are no indications that anything’s wrong. It’s just that I can’t register my new battery to make sure that the charging is as it should be. There’s every chance that I still have a parasitic drain but I’d like to get the battery registered so that I can discount that. Thanks very much for that. I’m not far from Bridlington so that’s a good option. 👍
  3. I’m on the East Coast of Yorkshire. I’m just going through the process of returning the Carista and am looking to get an OBDeleven instead. It sounds as though, after doing some reading, that the OBDeleven is far more likely to be able to clear the CAN Gateway faults in my car’s memory. I need to clear the faults to be able to register the new battery I fitted but the Carista refuses to do it.
  4. Thanks for taking the time to reply. How sure are you about this please? I have no problem buying an ODBeleven if that’s what’s needed but I’d prefer not to as they are much more expensive than my Carista EVO. I’d hate to splash the cash only to find out that there was nothing wrong with the Carista and it was just me that was missing something. Thanks again.
  5. 2022 Skoda Octavia 1.5tsi estate. Following a battery issue, I now have 10 CAN Network Gateway faults, all related to low voltage. The battery has been replaced with a new one but I need to register the new one with the car. I have a Carista EVO reader but it won’t reset the fault codes. Reads them fine but won’t reset them. (I’ve subscribed for a month so that part is fine.) I checked the battery voltage and it was 14.1v so I took the car for a 30 minute drive to see if the car’s computer/sensors needed time to sense the voltage and reset the fault history in its memory. Tried again when I got home to reset the faults with the Carista but still no joy. It won’t let me register the new battery while it can still see the faults when I try a fresh scan. I’m just wondering if the car needs to be driven for longer than 30 minutes? Is the Carista supposed to be able to cancel the faults anyway.. Could anyone offer any advice please? Thanks very much. Dave.
