  1. Thank you for the suggestions. The trade in book value on my crv was £300, which I assume is just scrap price. I could probably get £900 private. I messaged the dealer about a 2017 2.0 tsi, but it was £9500 with 101k. Prices are mad and I just cant let my old girl go for 100's. The family won't let me sell it either so they said retract the offer! Gonna run it the CRV to the ground and perhaps have abother 1,2,10 years left of cheap motoring. There is a Superb in my future, but hopefully not for a few years.
  2. Hi, currently running a 20 year old CRV, which has served me well and am finding it hard to let go of but it needs ac system for £1100+ repair, seats ripped and tired all around. Only option I've found that I thinks suits me is a Superb, either saloon or estate are fine. My budget is £8-12k, UK. I do about 8k miles/yr, mostly short runs and commutes, with a 1-2 long runs/month for weekend trips away (200mile return trip). I'm currently on 2006 diesel crv, which is fine on my short runs as it doesn't have all the modern faffery that plagues new diesels. I'm thinking next car will be a 2016-2018 superb tailback, either 2.0 or 1.4 tsi. These seem to be priced £8500-£11500 with 70-100k. Seems like a lot for that mileage and age though. Is the 2.0 that much better? It's a dad mobile for DIY, ikea and tip runs but a bit of oomph wouldn't be the worst. I like hastle free, cheap motoring. Thoughts? Thanks!
  3. Hi, reddit skoda brought me here as Im researching a new car. Looking to get a superb, probably the 1.4 or 2.0 petrol. I do about 8k miles/year, mostly short runs and commute, with 1-2 weekend away per month (200 mile return runs).
