  1. My 2017 Kodiaq 4x4 with a manual gearbox has just developed a transmission noise. It happens just after changing up through the higher gears at relatively low speed when I give it some throttle. It can also happen when not changing down in time and giving it some throttle on slight inclines. Sounds similar to brake pads rubbing the front disc after been led up during prolonged wet weather with surface rust on the disc. This sound very much appears to be coming from the gearbox area. I am only the 2nd owner and the car has been maintained by the supplying Skoda dealer up until late 2013 when I purchased with 70000 miles on it. Regular servicing with Haldex oil change at 39683 miles. Cambelt and water pump was changed in October 2022 at 62269 miles. I do have oil and filters changed at 10k intervals along with other routine items. Whether it is a coincidence or not several dash lights have come on in the past week relating to non functioning esp, hill start, start stop and park assistance all not working. I have been to a garage for this and was informed to take it to Skoda to have a 'software update' performed as they could not 'get into the system to check and clear issues'. Is it safe to drive without causing further damage and what is likely the issue (and fix). It has just recently turned 90000 miles. TIA to responses.
  2. Hello and thanks for letting me join the ranks of this Skoda Owners page. I live in Northern Ireland and have owned my 2017 Kodiaq 5 seat 2.0 diesel 4X4 with manual transmission for almost 3 years. My lifetime hobby has been my love of Classic cars and currently have 3 Jaguars ranging from 1950 to 1966. Never had an issue with my Kodiaq until now hence seeking guidance.
