Thanks for reply. We changed the language to German and when the unit restarted it had reverted to English. How can we or who can format the EMMC? Is it possible to do ourselves or do we need a professional?

@pab567 my dad is having an issue with his infotainment system. He is unable to successfully connect his phone via Bluetooth. A connection is made and he can check his texts and play music but calls won’t work. I have attached a photo of his system information. If he deletes the Bluetooth phone list or does a factory reset the original list reappears the next time the system starts up. I’m no expert but suspect the software has been corrupted. Would a software update likely resolve this issue? Many thanks for any help you can give him.

My dad has a 2015 Octavia estate. His infotainment system has developed a fault. It won’t connect to his (or anyone’s) phone via Bluetooth. If we do either a manual delete of all paired phones or a hard reset all the old settings reappear the next to the system is booted up. Any ideas if this is fixable or a terminal problem? Also is there a cheap way of allowing Apple CarPlay etc… to run without visiting a main dealer (should it be repairable). Thanks
