  1. Right, right. Another lad replied on my YouTube channel about it, said my car is missing the missing the exhaust manifold heat shield / 'hot air collector': https://www.skoda-dily.cz/nahradni-dil/115050680-predehrivac-vzduchu-evropska-unie-1031.html . Huzzah! Another part to buy. πŸ˜‘
  2. Thought I'd share my video logs of what I started with and how its going. Here's a sample, a 'thank you' for some lads here that already helped me out: https://youtu.be/vMaZPU-n_KE
  3. Huh. My car does not have that yoke between the manifold ports the yellow arrow is pointing to.
  4. Cheers for it lads, I recorded a video of what you helped me get done, and a segue into what I still have to do: https://youtu.be/vMaZPU-n_KE
  5. I used 'radiator cowl' and found it as 'kryt chladiče', though would have tried 'shroud' if I was still not getting good results.
  6. Would anyone know what the plastic frame that, I assume, directs airflow into the radiator is called? Its roughly square and sits behind the bumper. It has no electric bits or other parts, its just a radiator-sized square of plastic. I looked up a few parts suppliers and did not see any photos of what I'm referring to (I'll post a photo when I get back from grinding more rust), so maybe I'll need to jerry-rig the one I have.
  7. The photo is of Snehurka before the rust cracked through.
  8. So I bought a cheap Felda as a 'city runner' to take pressure off my 1990 VW Weekender, then found the rust. Or rather, the rust broke through the auto dealer patch-job about a month after I bought her, so now I need to sort her out and joining a forum is probably a good idea. :-)
