Which he didn't exceed. I don't believe that the rear tyres ever turned 50mph faster than the car was going -
Old winter tyre thread is in the 'tyre' section - Scroll down on the home page...

From what I can find on tinternet, speed ratings aren't part of the class IV test...
-
To get the fastest 0-60 times, the manual has to be somewhat abused (in a skilful way)...The DSG not so, its just the way it works anyway. So in the real world, when those manual boxes aren't abused the DSG is going to be quicker.
-
I believe the performance is all to do with the type of DSG box fitted. There is a 7 speed dry clutch and a 6 speed wet clutch. The oil in the boxes causing drag and causing a loss of performance over the dry equivalent, but the dry clutches can't be used on engines which produce loads of torque.

The clip onto the wheel bolts - The steel wheel in use doesn't come into it.

Does the Mazda 6 steel wheels fit the Octy - I get the feeling they may be a couple of mm out on the PCD spacing?

Improved MPG - Don't Use Cruise Control?
TorqueDude replied to gregoir's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I have a funny feeling that for one persons driving style, cruise is more efficient. For another persons' style cruise is less efficient. I bet there is a group in the middle too! Driving to and from work (75miles each way) for a year showed me that cruise less efficient for me, but when coming home from a 12+ hour day is was a nicer way to drive! -

Dan, No ignition on a diesel! Diesels just stop the fuel flowing which kinda kills them... TD
