  1. Mine whined like that. 2 years later it sounds and pulls the same
  2. So this is the deal. 1. When I start my car stone cold, it fires no problems, runs like a silk and after 5-30 sec it starts to run as on 3 cylinders ( intermittent and I hear it well because I have straight piped it) , revs are nice and constant but car shakes a bit 2. If engine temp is 50 celsius or more, or if I give it just 30 revs it runs nice and smooth ( idle not intermittent ). 3. If I press the clutch, shaking is less by 80% or stops completly, if engine temp is 50 or more or if I give it 30 revs more, no shaking at all. 4. Smells just a tiny bit rich but it could be because it has straight pipe. 5. Sometimes on motorway when I am using my cruise control, car keeps accelerating instead just holding the speed I want. 6. Feels like she has the power, just it isn't as sharp on acceleration as she use to be. Few details about the old skip: 1. EGR is in place, but blanked and mapped out 2. Remaped to 185bhp 400Nm ( problems started the next day after the remap ) ( Seat sport FMIC, 1749vb turbo, ASZ engine ) 3. Remaper said it isn't about his codding. ( I believe him because he had done a lot of TDIs ) 4. My MPG is fine, no smoke of any color. 5. Took her for check of injectors, all good. 6. No cloncking or vibrating on the pedal as of from DMF, no clutch slips, nice and even clutch grip at the bottom of the pedal. 7. Tiny bit of leak under tandem pump 8. Glow plugs in good condition. 9. When I remove MAF plug it goes like a slug. 10. MAP accurate 11. Brake pedal as it should be 12. Turbo whistle from 1500 to 2100 rpms then stops the whistle noise, pulls nice and hard.
  3. Is anyone using these brackets for SeatSport FMIC? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Seat-sport-intercooler-brackets-seat-VW-Skoda-VRS-FMIC/264152695337?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20160323102634%26meid%3D678abd4643384dd6962f59041f9350f2%26pid%3D100623%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D272759572467%26itm%3D264152695337&_trksid=p2047675.c100623.m-1 Are they any good, heard a couple of people they had a problem about the left bracket rubing against A/C evap pipe or something like that.
  4. No they don't fit. The original metal ones have a coupler with a screw at the end , and it is in 1 peace with the metal pipes itself. I changed mine 1 week ago and it is a real pain in the ass to fit those 2 little rubber o rings.
  5. Ibiza, polo and Fabia subframes are interchangeable, except the subframe for 5 speed gearbox won't fit the 6 speed car. I had to change mine that was a 5 speed petrol to a 6 speed diesel when I made the engine swap.
  6. Well obviously we are from different planets, as I swaped 1.9 ASZ in my originally 1.4MPI Furbie
  7. Yes they are the same as the one from vRS. And they do fit 312 from Golf Mk4 platform.
  8. Not really, I did the conversion. You need discs, callipers, disc guards ( don't know exact name as I am not from english speaking teritory, but the metal part that sits behind the discs and prevent water splash on them ), handbrake cables from rear disc Fabia. Mine set came from Golf Mk4, but then you need to switch the wheel bearings lefto to right and right to left if I remember correctly, I did this 6 years ago
  9. Took it to turbo workshop and they set it up on a machine by the specs for that turbo.
  10. I already set up actuator on factory specs and still the same problem...
  11. 1. 1 month ago, because it was a engine swap from Ibiza FR 2. It does it always 3. It hits 1.6 bar of boost at 2500 rpm and then reduces to 1.3 as the rpms rise 4. It is, but it is always cca 0.3 higher then needed 5. 1 month, maybe 550 miles ago. When the engine was in Ibiza it went really well, but then I swaped it to Fabia and mounted this turbo and now it is slow.
  12. I did, no fault codes or evidence of limp home mode
  13. Hi, So I have a stock ASZ engine with GT1749vb turbo. Its on stock pd130 map, but it has the 1.6bar of boost at 2500 rpm but no power. It takes ages to speed up, I think it is around 90bhp mark. What can be the problem ? As I read here when you put vb turbo on ASZ engine it makes same if not a bit more power on stock pd130 map, but mine is sluggish as hell. Actuator has been set to factory tolerances, MAP sensor is ok. What next ? And yes, I know I need to remap it to use a full potential...
  14. Hi, I have been reading a lot of topics and asked many questions about this and I couldn't get a straight answer. Will a PD150 turbo on 190-ish bhp heatsoak a standard SMIC ? Car is lowered and it won't be raced or drived hard, it needs to cope on occasional overtake and up to 100MPH drive on motorway (autobahn ?!? ) Few Question More 1. I know I need to clock a turbo housing on a PD150 turbo, but do I need to extend the oil feed pipe ? 2. If I run a PD150 turbo on 190-ish bhp the pressure should be around 1.7 bar ? Will a standard MAP sensor be enough ? 3. What will happen if I remove the fuel cooler from a car ?
  15. Yeah but I don't like the look of chrome ones. I am just wondering what modding is needed to fit the ones from alieX ?
