  1. The cone end goes in your pipe and you just tighten the other end on with a spanner. There also a sight called turbo technics which is a small turbo looking device that shoves in your air intake pipe (order for your size). This is about £40 and acts as a supercharger apparently lol
  2. This is what it looks like. Depending on your exhaust is how visable it isGoogle Image Result for http://www.spmmidlands.ltd.uk/html/assets/images/db_images/db_exhaust_whistler.jpg
  3. I think it does reduce the power a little and mine has just flew out too on the m6 at about 70. luckily there wasn't anyone behind me. Did sound good though. Sounds like a budgey unit the revs build up. Then it sounds like your car has a jet ups it's pipe. I can see why it flew out. The pressure trying to get through the small gap.
  4. But your insurance wouldn't be able to tell because there not traceable
  5. Hi guys. I bought a device off my local market as an experiment because i was curious. It's called an exhaust pipe whistler. It's a small aluminium device that clamps onto the end of your tail pipe and sits inside your exhaust. It's supposed to give you the sound of a huge turbo in your car. Anyway to cut a long story short i bought one for £5 and tried it out. Drive along steady and it makes a high pitched whistling sound however when you put your foot down and the revs get high it sounds more like a fighter jet taking off. I drank lots of fuel that day because it sounded great. No difference to performance obviously but it's good fun. Check them out. Just type in exhaust pipe whistler on google
  6. there you go how about red and bold for ya. I hear that a company called dub sport is currently building a twin engined fabia vrs with two remapped diesel engines in it. they say it should be pushing around 380 - 400 hp. would love to see the finished product
  7. Well i think after about the 54 reg the fabia had a face lift and they altered various things. I just know from driving the old ones standard that the newer models seem to have alot more pull in them. Alot of people seem to recommend the jabba remap although angel tuning claims it gets 180bhp but then other parts on the car will need changing. remaps are not visibal so I don't think your insurance would need to know really
  8. when i'm talking about the power in terms of the age of the car. i'm refering to standard before the remap
  9. After researching all the sites on the net for remapping for the fabia vrs, can anyone recommend the best remap for the car and does the age of the car effect the power becuase i noticed after driving a couple of the earlier models (03,04), the power didn't feel as much as appose to a 55/06 reg car or is this just me. Your thoughts and knowledge please:cool:
  10. Hi guys. Just bought a fabia vrs and waiting to recieve it and after test driving it I can only say wow. How quick is this. Could only imagaine what it would be like with a remap. Just out of curiousity. What sort of cars will this baby keep up with. Iv'e bin told it will keep on the bumper of alot of higher class cars. I know my brother who also owns a Fabia VRS has raced his friend at work in his Seat Ibiza Cupra petrol and the lad has took his Seat back telling them it's under powered because it should surely keep up. Any comments greatly appreciated. I look forward to my stay in here at Briskoda:)
