  1. Hello, I done a search for this and couldn't find much. My Fabia VRS just has its 50k service and the mechanic told me that he found a slight weep from the turbo into the intercooler. Can anyone tell me if this is something to worry about? As he just said" keep an eye on it". Does it mean the turbo is on the way out? Any Help or info greatly appreciated:confused:. thanks, Dave
  2. Hello, Can i ask what you mean by Engine flush? Is that the stuff you add to your fuel to clean the fuel filter and de-soot the engine? I thought it was good to do that every once in a while. Sorry for hijacking the thread Danny. thanks, dj
  3. Hello all Can anyone have a go at describing how the car rides with AP coilovers? Is it back breaking on B roads, or is the ride comfort still there without the body roll? Its just the body roll that lets the fabia vrs down i think. Thanks...Dave
  4. Four lads sleeping in a Fabia VRS doesn't sound fun to me. Will hopefully be able to set up camp near one of the sunday stages then. Do they send you a map with the tickets so show how to get to the stages? As i'm sure satnav will be rubbish at finding anything in Wales. Drink, BBQ, and fireworks all sound good.
  5. Hello all. I'm going with three other mates to Special stage on saturday then the remaining stages on sunday. Does anyone know what goes on in the evenings if you stay there? Also, can you camp anywhere? (not on the road of course), or do you have to find a propper camp site? I've never been before and i can't find any info on wrc website.
  6. Hello. Help/advice needed please I've got a Fabia VRS with the Blaupunkt woodstock DAB 54 fitted, with the extra 5 disc changer under it. I also have a nokia bluetooth handsfree kit all wiered in nicely. Today i tried to also connect my ipod using the propper Blaupunkt interface cable so all the info would be on the screen. However, after pulling the dash apart i found that the handsfree kit takes up all the connectors and leaves no room for the ipod, even though the headunit does have two seperate aux outputs. So, problem one. Can you split or get another adaptor to run both at the same time, or can i only have one? Problem two, i disconnected the handfree part to check that the ipod cable worked but it didn't! The ipod did register the connection and kept showing "ok to disconnect", and at best you would get a quick 1 second blast of music, then it would stop. Anyone have any idea's why it would be Intermitent? Problem Three: The 5 disc changer no longer fits properly, sits just a few mm short of where it was before. Any suggestions?

  8. I went to my local Sadelry shop, (Heather Lewin sadelry, St.Ives, cambs). She often gets people in owning classic Jags etc wanting to proserving and restore there leather seats. So i've got a tub of "Connolly Hide Care" which does a superb job. Costs about £10, which is less that a lot of stuff targeted at us as car owners.
  9. Im interested in doing this. I've e-mailed Jabba first though with a few questions.
  10. A lot of the garages in East Anglia are charging £1.30.9 now, so 1.20 isnt that bad.
  11. Mine is still under warrenty untill sept, but he still offered me this option. Plus, the manager does it to his own from brand new. He made reference also to Jabba and that he'd serviced cars which they'd modified. He quoted Hp of approx 162bhp, which is considered a 'friendly' or generic map on this site i think. This is a full skoda dealership so they must speak for Skoda UK..?
  12. Hello All. I took my fabia vrs into Als Lock Skoda dealership in Little Downham the other day for its 30K service. When i was there i asked about optional extras and about improvements that could be made, and the manager informed me that they could chip the car..? I had searched threads before and only found one link that suggested that skoda dont approve of any chipping or remapping. They said it was a chip produced by "Steinbower" (German - not sure on spelling) which could be fitted for £425 by them. The manager himself said everytime he bought one he would fit this as its a quick chip swap that takes no time at all. So...Has anyone else heard of this chip company? Or been offerd the same deal by a dealership? Thanks. Dj
