  1. Avoid the lengthy delays from the dealer and buy my 4 month old petrol vRS estate which I have to sell due to redundancy. Race blue, silver roof rails, maxidot and spare wheel. 4 months old and only got 4200 miles on it
  2. I got a rear plate with 3D effect from Ebay for £4.85 inc postage. Bargain
  3. If you don't have maxidot they can be changed by the dealer - or VAGcom. With maxidot you can change them as you want and experiment to see what you prefer
  4. How much have people paid to have their tow bars fitted? I'm looking at getting a tow bar fitted with single electric, I only want it to carry a bike carrier on. I'm new to this tow bar world so any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks,
  5. My new FL vRS came with mats - not the thickest but will do the job for now anyway
  6. Oh and which dealer did you buy from? Name and shame!!!!
  7. Check the front of the your service schedule/record. On my vRS is was stamped by the dealer with when the first service was due, or that it was on variable - I can't remember off the top of my head. I've had mine 6 weeks and done 1200 miles - the service indicator days the service is due in 600 off days or 18000 odd miles (something like that). So there is no way your car is set to variable. Let us know what your dealer says/does. CHeers
  8. Mine too - manual petrol vRS. Yes it is a complete pain
  9. This is going to be a cracking meet - 4 names on the list plus a bloke from Bromsgrove and one from Milton Keynes !!!!! At least it'll be a cheap round!!!!! :p
  10. Anyone bought my old vRS - KR54 OJJ - red 1.8T estate. Good nick even though it had over 104,000 on it. I sold it to an internet place that picked it up for £2900 - and they didn't notice the dent in the front wing!!!! Let me know if anyones got it or seen it - Cheers

  12. For £50 I'll stick to washing it every weekend thanks!!!!
  13. Oh and as far as I am aware DTD use Rainsworth Skoda (Nottingham way I think) & Marlborough Skoda (London). I get £50 cash if I recommend someone to my dealer who beat DTD by 3250 so pm me and I'll let you know
  14. I emailed the DTD price to every dealer in the country - ended up with my 7th nearest dealer beating the DTD price by £250. Most replied saying they couldn't get anywhere near the DTD price but a few wouls match it & a couple (only 2 - that is a couple!!) could beat it. I found emailing was the best option as it lets the dealers think about it & look into it. Also with phoning the dealers you may just speak to the greasy saleman who doesn't have enough clout to give the discount you want, with emailing it get sent to the sales manager to deal with. In my email I also put that I have a car that I may part ex or sell privately and asked what they would offer as a part ex.
