Please help I picked up a 1.8 TSI DSG last week, I notice that there is a rasping/growling noise whilst accelerating or under load. I was told by the garage I got the car from that this is normal, however when I took my Dad out (Yeti DSG owner) he thinks it is not. Can anyone shine any light on this please. Thanks

My Octavia Vrs has 151,000 on the clock and just recently has developed a knock. An obvious single knock when starting which is more prominent when cold, this also happens when accelerating suddenly or when parking stopping sharply. Also on cobbles or raised painted lines. Does anyone have ideas please.

Thnaks for your reply, my fans do seem to be on a permanent live, if I pull the fuse they stop.

Hi, has anyone any idea of what is causing this problem? I have had the radiator fan switch changed due to the fact that the fans were on all the time and draining the battery. However despite this the problem remains. Is there antoher sensor/switcc that could be causing this? Paul

It ticks over fine, can a coil pack do this and then under acceleration fail?

Driving home from work today I suddenly got a hesitation when accelerating hard, also the engine light flashes until I ease up then goes out. Does anyone have any clues before I send it for a diagnostic?

Has anyone fitted a Dension 100 active ipod car kit into their octy that has a Symphony stereo with changer? Do they work? :confused::confused: Paul

My Octavia VRS kangaroos a couple of times for about 100 metres when run from cold in this weather. There are no warning lights showing currently, is this normal for the car? Or is there a fault that may not have been detected? Paul:confused:
