Hi I am helping a friend with his Skoda Fun, fitted with the 1.9 SDI engine. We think there is an air lock in the fuel and have loosened the bleed nipple (see photo) and cranked it over but still no fuel comes out. Do you need a vacuum pump on this nipple to get rid of the air, Thanks VW Engine

The plastic connector has gone on mine. I changed the pads and disks today but had to leave the connector. The light is on the dash but was thinking about running with this on in the short term. Would this effect anything Ie put the car in slow mode etc etc

Hi My heater controls have stopped working and are stuck in the hot position and A/C and recycle air button also dont work The fan works fine on all speeds but only blows hot air !!!. Any help would be great. Thanks Ian

Hi My number one speed has stopped working and I have decided it is the resisitor. I started this morning to locate the resisitor, which I think is behind the glove box. Has anyone done this job and how do you get to the resistor. I have taken all the screws out in and around the glovebox but can only manage to remove the top box. I have a 57 plate Fabia. Any help advice would be great. Thanks Ian

Mine needed new ones at 35K. Did them myself with disc and pads from euro car parts. I have now done 10k on them and they are still going well. I paid less than £100 for the parts so I guess if I get 35K from these its been a good deal.

Its a year later and no signs of the cracks. Yes it was in Monday to Friday. Let me know how you get on, you could mention that it has happend to other fabia's.

This happened to my 2007 Fabia. I took it back to the dealers and they repaired and resprayed it. It was a month before the warranty ran out and they had never seen anything like it. Mind they had it a week and I had a 1.2TSI (105) for the week Im sure I started a thread on this.

I bought a Bosch set about 6 months ago and OK so far.

My copies play fine for about 30-40 mins then start sticking and missing part of the song out. I have used Maxell discs burnt in MP3 format.

This has just happened to mine and its 3 months out of warranty :( . Looks like a trip to the dealers.

I have a 1.4TDI (80) with 33K on the clock & was 3 years old in November 2010. I have had no problems with this car until Thursday night, when the Red Brake & yellow ABS lights came on. I thought best ring the dealers in the morning and get it checked out. Well the following morning, no lights and and nothing since. I did book the car in for Tuesday at a local dealers and was told it would be £80 just to hook it up to the PC. Is there any alternative to this ????

I had these tyres on until 6 months ago and replaced them with a make called Lassa. They have been spot on and I have not noticed any difference from the bridgestones. Living on Tyneside we have had some of the worst snow so far and I have never been stuck once. I dont know if the tyres are anything to do with this but what a car in the snow

The paint on the two roof chanels has started to crack. I had the car at the dealers today and they have taken photos. They said that it is movement in the car and it has flexible filler between roof in these chanels. They also went onto the forecourt and checked some used cars and a few had the same problem. They have said that they will contact Skoda and get it done under warrenty. It will be a 5 day job and i was asked if I wanted it done (why would I not ?????) Anyone else got or had this issue.
