  2. Just get shot to WBAC at that offer and forget about spending on new tyres. Try the Car Buying Group I recently sold them my V50 £175 better than WBAC, no fees and collected from my address. All done by phone/email on the Tues/weds collected and paid for on the Friday. worked for me. my car was well used 127k and showed wear and tear.
  3. I've got a good idea! They could put wee electrified metal tracks in the road that the cars slot into so they don't need spare cars. oh wait......
  4. How dull is formula E? Watched it on TV yesterday from Paris. I am a big motorsport fan and this was tedious.

  6. unless the car was a pool car that would not work
  7. they are possibly waiting to see what the Q2 costs are before they can quote. Telling you this rather than nothing would be courteous though.
  8. Sold my 2009 Volvo V50 2.0ds with 127600m on it to to The Car Buying Group yesterday. Offered an acceptable price on Weds collected the car Friday from my office in Dumfries.. Payment into my bank account within an hour or so I I have to admit being nervous about that bit) Car was mine from new with full SH MOT expiry n July . Looked good interior, exterior usual chips and one ding. Bushes and suspension very tired. Rear screen heater not working. Paid £175 more than WBAC plus collected from my work, no haggling on price following my appraisal of the visual points. Maybe I Was too thorough? Got £2525 which was ok as insurance would expire on Monday too. Possibly could have got nearer£3k privately but knowing of some of the faults . Contacted a couple of local dealers who did not respond, trade in prices were around the 2400 mark as was we want any car. It worked ok for me. Got a lease car on order. No hassles either. Car was going to BCA Leeds will be interested to know what it sells for reg: SC09GFK silver. I think they are sold under Digital Automotive Solutions.
  9. maybe a fresh MOT would help sell it? Can be forward dated to the expiry date..
  10. Living in Scotland I know what Arnold is like, unfortunately avoiding him does restrict choices. I would and have used them for car hire but just hear so much bad about them (well founded too) that out of principle I will avoid them for purchases and servicing.

  12. initially 120xdrive was manual only. With the facelifted one (LCI Spring 2015?) it's only available as an auto. Still have my V50 and unfortunately someone in a Fabia VRS clashed with my Forester last week.
  13. Find out who used to manage the Suzuki Ignis rally team they may be able to help. is it known as this in other markets? http://www.monster-sport.com/e/car/ht81s.html http://www.bc-racing.co.uk/applications/suzuki-coilovers/swift-sports-ht81s-03-05/v1-series-coilover-type-vm.html http://www.nengun.com/cusco/compact-zero-1 http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/competition-suspension-kits/car/suzuki/ignis-sport/gaz-shocks-gold-coilover-kits http://www.corbymotorsport.com/suzuki-c-2707_16_1488_1515/suzuki-ignis-gaz-front-coilover-kit-p-5763.html http://www.gazshocks.com/images/downloads/GAZ_2015_catalogue_V2.pdf http://www.corbymotorsport.com/swift-ht81s-bc-coilovers-c-2707_14_86_499_635/suzuki-swift-sports-0305-bc-coilover-kit-v1-p-1451.html http://www.just-performance.co.uk/gaz-gha-coilovers-for-suzuki-ignis

  15. thats exactly why I bought a Volvo and not Octavia scout in 2009. The Octavia superior in most other aspects but could not get comfy. Shame it was/is a good car.

no. But have stayed at a few Crowne Plazas. If you get an executive room you often get complimentary access to their Exec Lounge with free drinks and snacks. The one in Amsterdam has a rooftop lounge for qualifying guests. It was very nice.
  17. If, as I would not be surprised The Donald decided to buy up a town would it be called Trumpton?
  18. steamed chicken or trout
  19. I had a recent IAM driving assessment for work. The instructor/assesor was a decent chap. Quite large (i am not slim myself), he brought an extension for the seatbelt, the type you see folks getting on a plane.
  20. for such a big purchase surely worth an AA inspection or similar?
  21. criminal that staff, patients and visitors are charged. There are a lot of things in this country that deserve some kind of mutiny. This is one of them. You do tend to have an option at service stations pull off into a town and go to a supermarket. Just use the services for the toilet and nothing else.
  22. have a good long drive to test the seat comfort.I wanted an Octavia Scout but ended up with a Volvo V50 as the seats in the new Octavia didnt suit me. 6 years and 120000m on with the Volvo I still find it good for long trips. My colleagues new Octavia however still not comfy.
