  1. In hindsight I think I would opt to pay the fees if I had the choice as 4 weeks ago my house was burgled by opportunist burglars - Car was taken along with other items. The day after I got a car from my insurance but I only had that for 2 weeks. For the last 2 weeks I have had no form of transport and already I know I have lost/spent more money than the fees for a tracker. 3 yrs NCB down the pan has lost me the most. Now everywhere I go I see VRS's and none of them are mine :( I would agree that Trackers would only benefit some me having been one of them.
  2. If you have the SKC and thats the same from two different programs then i would place the problem with how your coding the key to the car. (not expert opinion though) AKTP2 is deffo the right one for mk1 and i remember the 1st time i tried to code key to my car and it took me a few tries to get the procedure right....i would say the procedure depends on the program your using.
  3. Royal PITA:rofl: Can be done quick enough just not much room to move hands or tools
  4. My brother(18) is insured with them on a 2000 1.4 16v fabia comfort £1800 F/comp
  5. This exact spring snapped from under my seat while i was driving last year, I sh** myself at the time too as it was a really loud snap/bang sound. Come to think of it, I dont know what i did with mine. As said above only problem is height adjustment being stiff
  6. And the quickest route ...the biggar road takes forever.
  7. Also this thread is 5th on page 1 of google just 4 under CT's main site
  8. :iagree: I don't reckon many are of that opinion you posted Gary untill there is a definitive answer. It says about customer satisfaction on your website, That has not been fulfilled here and (my opinion) thats all down to you Gary. So much more could have been offered by your company than was given, Even sticking to your point of not paying something more could have still been done. At the end of the day you have shown your true colours where your customers are concerned i reckon, And you cant blame anyone here inc OP for business lost as looking back over the posts we have all said why we are now put off from CT. read back posts 128, 126, 107,my personal fav 78 they outline what i think pretty well.
  9. Ok gary if your after facts here is one or two!! The only quote i can find that accuses you of anything is as follows "On the upside, Chris from ECU evolutions phoned me today to say his file writer has looked at the map Custom tuning put on, and he said it is one of the worst maps he has seen in a long time. He reckons is it about 4 years out of date, and has used hacked software," Now if you read that carefully i'm sure it says ECU Evolutions told him that. Now if you have a problem with that take it up with ECU Evolutions not the messenger. Also in the email to you from john he is quoting a 3rd party ..... as above if you aint happy with the info given to john then go speak to whoever told him. Another fact for you follows "So in effect we have been judged, found guilty and sentenced without one single scrap of evidence to say we have done anything wrong." You amaze me gary because the fact here is you still do not understand what you DID do wrong. I will give you a hint - It has everything to do with you and nothing to do with the car. "They have had your ECU for a week now and they still haven't told you what was to blame for your ECU failure?" Is this (ECU Failure) your professional opinion? If this is the case then surely its a huge coincedence that the ECU failed after your map was flashed to it. And before you claim it ...No the above is not an accusation of anything or slanderous "If your going to slander people and damage their business by accusing them in forums its only right that you should have good solid facts to back this up" I cant see any slanderous comments made by anyone on this forum rather they came from a 3rd party discussed above...and as for damaging your business you are managing that quite well all by yourself.
  10. Mine is similar to this .... full coverage of the boot floor with the net. This one has metal clips and was in skoda packaging under boot floor.
  11. My parrot's mic was run in this way and worked out fine for me although i took the wire round the passenger side and along top of windscreen. This was down to having the glovebox off to fit stereo and parrot
  12. I am no expert on economics but I'd reckon that tuners rely heavily on word of mouth from happy customers or people they have told about the great work. By my reckoning based on the above you (CT) have just shot yourself in the foot, I for one would not recommend any company that has customer service as appaling as yours. As for the ECU, If it turns out that you were not at fault I would still not recommend you because no one here including yourself knew for sure what the problem is/was and still you dismissed the complaint. As for the original email/letter from John, I would say he held his tongue quite well - He was also going on info given to him by others.... That is certainly no reason to totally dismiss his complaints EVEN IF the reasons he got given were wrong.
  13. If thats meant to stop stone chips surely its only gonna stop them on the lip of the bonnet where the "thing" covers. I must agree ugly looking thing on neat looking car ... I think you may end up with a dot to dot near the back and the front feeling left out of the game Each to their own
  14. Bit ironic this one westallc as this time its the VRS doing the pulling over The driver of the bmw was in the back of the car for a good 15 mins so I presume he got a long telling off of some sort. After he emerged he pulled his tints off the front. Never seen the copper use the light but pretty obvious that these won't let 70% light through
  15. Hickleys :: Keys and Remotes - Transponders AKTP2 - is the transponder you need Pop that inside the key (after removing the old one) then give it a bash with your code Should work fine then - This assuming its the transponder to blame ....but i reckon its a dead cert
