  1. Dear All, Driving back along the motorway tonight in a 2007 Octavia 2 VRS TFSI Petrol, the engine was running fine, then i put my foot down and experienced a slow tail off of power. Then for the rest of the journey it was like driving a non-turbo. The engine just did not want to rev (it was effort to get it above 3000 in first gear!) and i lost a lot of torque - I actually had to change down gears! . Whenever I revved it was as if something was braking the engine - if that makes sense. Anyway pulled off motorway, switched off engine for 2 minutes. Started it again without issues and it was absolutely fine. then after 20 mins the symptoms came back slowly but not to the same degree. No warning lights, but will get diagnostics done Tomorrow. Any ideas? All best
  2. Does anyone know who does it in the Bedfordshire, Luton area?
  3. FYI: symptoms: vibration at 750 - 800 revs, only when warm. when cold revs at 1200 and therefore no vibration when driving , when in neutral at 60 mph+ , no issue with vibration when idling (guessing due to air being pushed through air inlet valve at speed) But below, vibration at idling, so guess it is air inlet valve related and guessing it is a misfire due to not enough air (i.e. blocked inlet valve) No issues with pulling away in high gear at low speed and no difference when clutch is engaged or not. Also no issue with clutch biting All best
  4. Dear All, Does anyone know who does this service (Including New Seals, Clips and Gasket etc) for an Octavia 2 VRS TFSI 2007 Petrol in the Beds, Herts area? All best, P.S. They could do Runner Flap Delete and RS4 Fuel Pressure Regulating Valve at same time
  5. Put new tyres on the vrs and all rebalanced -again. The problem has gone away
  6. Dear All, The 'plastic' on my rear spoiler is blistering and peeling off. Any ideas about how/who could repair it? Car: 2007 Octavia 2 VRS All best
  7. Dear All, went for the bluefin in the end and the car is a pleasure to drive! It is like being 18 again!
  8. The shark remap sounds good, but when I ran the insurer, there is no increase in premium for me for a bhp increase below 25% of 197 and unfortunately the shark one comes in at 250. bluefin comes in 238 bhp. All best,
  9. Dear All, I was looking at a ECU remap , and before I went ahead I had the following replaced. 1) HPFP cam follower (apparently these fail) 2) diverter valves 3) breather system FYI: The Vrs has now done 105K The car drives like new again and it is a sheer beauty to drive. Almost made me decide not to have the remap (going for bluefin). Hope above is useful to someone. All best,
  10. Update: ESP light has been flicking as expected. Thanks for all the help. All best
  11. Update - had 2 new tyres fitted and when the balancing was being done, one tyre was found to be badly off - this was corrected. Since then the car has been fine to drive. All best
