  1. Skoda Fabia 1.2 htp 54bhp 3cyl 8v 53 plate 56000miles AWY engine Hi all, We have had this car from new & have it serviced annually, with no major problems so far This is my wifes car, & it is driven 5 days a week, 15 miles each way. No warning lights No problems starting the car It hasn't stalled Recently, she has been having an intermittent problem with it :- Sometimes it appears to not want to accelerate (at varying speeds), it needs her to raise her foot off the accelerator pedal, & re-apply it to get going again. This has happened a number of times (a dozen or so) over the last 10 days or so, occuring more often when the conditions are damp & when it happens, it tends to happen more than once. She mentioned that a couple of times the car appeared to 'misfire' (but not for the last few days). Can anyone help with a diagnosis please? Thanks Derek Delh68
  2. All sorted for the princely sum of £4 (new plug & cable) from the local VW dealer:P (Although i did end up buying a reversing ligh switch for £9 as well, as i thought it was that at first! Thanks to everyone for your help Delh68
  3. Finally got round to having a look at this ~ the wires have sheared off right at the base of the plug, so i'm going to have to do some re-wiring :( & get some bits from the dealership when they re-open Delh68
  4. If it stays dry, i'll have a look tomorrow:) Thanks for the useful information Delh68
  5. Being a bit useless with cars:eek: (bit willing to have a go!)~ would that be under the car / bonnet or inside?? Thanks for everyones' replies Once this is sorted i've got to do my rear door seals (leaking), & the front passenger side seat belt (not retracting) Delh68
  6. Hi all, Have used the search facility, & have eliminated the fuse & the bulbs from being the problem ~ they are fine. I have a 2003 Skoda Fabia 1.2 htp 55bhp classic There is mention of a switch on the gearbox on previous threads, but i have had a look & all i can see is a sort of spring contraption that moves when reverse is engaged.(no sign of a switch at all:() Anyone with any opinions? Thanks Delh68
  7. Hi Have read this forum & gained some useful information already (dodgy door seals on my Fabia for one, & blocked air pollen filter for two!!) Thought it was time to register!!
