No, and never would. I get ours delivered by the milkman in reusable glass bottles, supporting a local business and supplier, and helping protect the environment against plastic waste. But you crack on with your budget 8-pint plastic milk cartons โ as long as you're alright Jack ๐คจ
-
You had it too good for too long. ยฃ2 for 8 pints of milk? What percentage of that do you think the dairy farmer pocketed? It's a massive problem that's been shown up in all it's glory by coronavirus. We want as much cheap stuff as we can get, the cheaper the better, but never think about the other end of the chain. Supermarkets have squeezed suppliers way beyond resonable limits for years and suddenly the system has been exposed. I really hope the virus leads to a new dawn in respect for growers, suppliers, shelf stackers, lorry drivers and all those never-given-a-second-thought-to workers who are suddenly the most important people in the world, keeping us fed and watered. ยฃ2 for 8 pints? Just disgusting.

Good to hear you're OK. ๐ The only reason I asked is that yesterday the whole Unread Content list was dominated by you welcoming newbies, which is no bad thing, but I was intrigued.

Estate rear wiper repair, you dont need to replace it!
Jigger72 replied to J.R.'s topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I don't know how you can bear to leave the house with all these screwdriver-wielding thugs about. Jesus! The only criminals I've ever encountered with a screwdriver have been plumbers and sparkies โฆ and mechanics. Robbing barstewards ๐ -
Key Scratch - Touch-up or Repaint Door
Jigger72 replied to Daniel_'s topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I have to commend you on the restraint shown in your post. If it was me I'd be raging blue murder for a few paragraphs before getting round to the question ๐ค As suggested, a decent repair will leave very little to show and shouldn't be more than ยฃ100. I'd be tempted to try a quick self repair first just to soften the mark. -

I'm pretty sure all of them can be delivered to a store of your choice?

new tyres on front, rears only 6mm, ok?
Jigger72 replied to newskodadriver's topic in Tyres & Wheels
That's because your 'advice' is nonsense. Driving around with a puncture repair to the tyre sidewall for 1500 miles is absolutely fine. Um, okaaaay โฆ Tyres with only 1.6mm grip left are safer than tyres with 3mm grip left. Um, okaaay โฆ Everything Michelin's marketing team say is true. Um, okaaay โฆ -
new tyres on front, rears only 6mm, ok?
Jigger72 replied to newskodadriver's topic in Tyres & Wheels
Isn't this a bit like saying the max speed limit is there for a reason. Doesn't mean you should drive at that speed all the time. Is it? The difference in mm is nearly the same but do you have evidence that an equal amount of grip is applicable between the two examples? That would be stupid. You're talking about 1.6mm achieving the same amount of safety and grip as 6mm. Do you know this for a fact? I would say he, and other road users around him, have been extremely lucky. -

Sign up with the TPS. I haven't received a spam call of any description since I did. https://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html -
There was much huffing and puffing in my Sainsbury's when they introduced those veg nets. I was earwigging some old fella complaining about it and he threatened to bring his own bags the following week. Er โฆ ๐ I bought two and only really use one for the sprouts, but the second came in handy when the spuds bag split. I haven't used the little bags for years, and I'm still using the same big plastic bags I picked up about 6 years ago. I'd see people pulling reams of the little ones off and putting like, two carrots in one, three onions in another. Most people are just plain stupid ๐คจ

I read the title as if it was a new TV channel a la Walter Presents ๐ Congratulations on your pending new arrival. I would buy him a Rolex Submariner and stick it in the safe until he's 18. The cost might sting now but in 18 years it will worth about quadruple the initial outlay ๐

I think it was a stranger โ I can't see any indication of it being a friend, which makes the anger even more peculiar. Could the son have walked or cycled to the hospital? Anyway, if I was passing away I would rather my two children were outside protesting at the destruction of their future than weeping all over me. I've been part of the problem through ignorance, and we all owe a massive debt to the state we're in on but nobody is really prepared to make the necessary sacrifices. It's the, 'I'm alright Jack, it wouldn't make any difference anyway' mob that deserve our ire.

For us watch nerds that's part of the fun. And let's face it, it only takes about a minute so hardly eating into your weekend ๐ I've had too many ins and outs on the watch front to list since I last posted, but I'm enjoying my latest squeeze Seiko SPB077 'Mini MarineMaster'

Wow! It looks like a polka dot wasp moth but what it's doing in Norfolk is anyone's guess? It's more commonly found in the southern states of the US and the Caribbean. Are you on holiday? EDIT: My mistake. It's a nine-spotted moth, which lives in Southern Europe but can occasionally be seen during summer in the UK. It doesn't breed here though. That's a good rare spot โ pun intended
