  1. THis is exactly what happened to me.. stupid metal lugs on the intercooler piping has worn causing your pipe to come out!!
  2. Mike, have you checked your lower boost pipes? the ones coming from the turbo? are you thinking about replacing them if so what with? Before I fitted the sfs intercooler 90' pipe I had a play with the OE pipes and there was alot of play with the one coming out of the turbo but since fitting the sfs pipe it doesnt move, thats not to say that it isnt leaking air though.. I will be interested in your parts purchased for the upper boost pipes too. Great work on your engine bay
  3. Mike, I got my sfs lower ic hose yesterday and i fitted it and it was a pig! is you hard pipe (the metal bit) touching the sump? someone else said it was a pig to fit and I can see why! it seems that the sfs is a little bit bigger than the original so its a squeeze to fit thus pushing the pipe closer to the sump.
  4. You not thought about getting the bits wrapped instead? I thought you had to take the bra off to clean it once a week? could be alot of faff!
  5. My pipe should be here 2moro why was it a pig to fit?
  6. After a bit more investigation, it appears that wiring the gauge to the switched 12v on the headunit loom doesnt work so I had to use the switched 12v on the main light loom. Its all hunkydory now.
  7. I spoke to Lee at http://www.sfsperformance.co.uk/ last week and he said they had just fabricated a 1 piece pipe(turbo to intercooler). It wasnt for the fabia but Im sure he could knock you up one. Give him a shout.
  8. I just fitted my prosport gauge and wired it up but when i turn the lights on the gauge flickers. I have changed the cables round so you have bright white constant and then amber on switched 12v but it flickers on both but its alot more noticeable on the amber?!?!? Is there anything i can do? has anyone else had this issue with the prosport gauges? I know a few of you have the prosport with the stepper gauge, as its electrical does it still use a vacuum gauge ? i suspect its the same as the mechanical but the psi is measured electrically via the vacuum tube.. Can someone confirm ive wired it up properly. JVC/Boost Gauge Black>Black Yellow>White/red Orange/white>Amber JVC Boost Gauge
  9. Just spoken to Lee at SFS and they can supply me with the replacement pipe. Like the one TrevorB33 sold you I just need to double check Im seating the pipe properly and its not the IC that is broken...
  10. Hi Mike, this is going to sound stupid but could you explain what i need to measure, do i need a digital gauge? So are SKODA charging the same extortionate price for their pipes? that was going to be my next port of call trying VW and skoda for prices.
  11. Id be really interested in hearing what Samco have to say. I cleaned my SMIC on the weekend and now the lower IC pipe(exits IC towards turbo) keeps popping out on full boost. I called SEAT and they want £85 to repalce the 90' pipe!!! only 2 years ago I replaced the IC pipe that exits the intercooler and that was £36. How can SEAT justify nearly 3 times for a smaller pipe!
  12. I'm sure ill be able to cope with it on the long journey to the nurburg lata on this year
  13. Must of just been the demo car then
  14. So you dont notice alot of road/wind noise while driving yours at speed?
