  1. My Yeti Outdoor is Laser White, officially it's blue* but it's white. *According to Skoda and EU Statistical Code it's blue and was registered as blue, but I changed it to white post registration.
  2. Johann I'm not sure, dealer has sold other J3J3 vehicles but they were apparently white on the VW Ireland (Skoda) AS/400 system, just mine appeared to buck the trend so had to be registered as blue, Anyway, so much for PDi, I found this stuck under drivers seat, the Factory Production sheet or it's DNA. Production started at 19:46 on 2 July and came off the line at 15:46 on 3 July. It was delivered to dealer on 29 July.
  3. Recently took delivery of my new MY15 Yeti Outdoor in the new colour Laser White. Note the White. The Skoda paint code is J3J3. When dealer was registering the car it suddenly became Blue, so Tax Disc and Vehicle Licensing Cert both had Blue as the colour. Had a few discussions with delaer and Skoda Ireland who both confirmed the Yeti is white, except the paint code J3J3 is also known as Arctic Blue So now my Laser White Yeti is the colour Blue and a declaration of colour change had to be made to have new Tax Disc and VLC issued in the correct colour. All seems good and process went well but nobody can answer definitively why White becomes BLue. Apparently Skoda market Laser White as Arctic Blue in some territories depending on model e.g. Arctic Blue Superb but Laser White Yeti - GO Figure
  4. Finally took delivery of my new Laser White Skoda Yeti Outdoor today. On way home 15km from dealer on a 40km drive the TPM light and maxidot warning came on. Pulled into side of road and took out manual to see what was wrong. Treid the reset button to no avail so then checked tyre pressures; 2.4 kpa front, 3.0 rear. Adjuste dpressures, pressed reset buttomn which extinguished the warning and continued homebound. No recurrence of the TPM so assume it was someone in dealer adjusting pressures afte rthe pdi. This is our third Snowmonster and did drive the Qashqai, Ford EcoSport, Hyundai IX35 and a VW Tiguan the Yeti was best fit for our needs.
  5. Candy, meet your replacement, Laser Laser White 2012 v Candy White 2014 to be collected this week
  6. Arrived at dealers and now awaiting PDI, installation of a swivel seat and then on for an I.V.A. and Cert of Conformity so won't be taking posession until mid to late next week. Shod with Pirelli Cinturato P7's instead of the Dunlops SP's that previous and current Yeti came with.
  7. Call Friday to say car is in Emden awaiting shipping to Dublin
  8. Yes, Rep of Ireland spec. There are three whites, Candy, Moon and the new Laser
  9. Just ordered Yeti Outdoor 2.0CR TDi 2wd in Lazer White. This will be our third since 2010, delivery late July I've been told.
  10. Someone asked me in a PM how different Ireland specced Yeti were from those in UK. Link gives Standard equipment and Prices for FL Yeti. Note the Ireland spec 'Outdoor' can be had from 1.2 2wd right through to 2.0 170bhp 4x4 http://www.skoda.ie/brochures/documents/prices/yeti-price-list-2014.pdf
  11. Just to clear up the warranty situation in Ireland. The third year is not a dealer extension It's three years and it's from Skoda Ireland who are a wholly owned subsidary of Volkswagen Ireland who in turn are fully owned by V.A.G.
  12. According to Irish Times (The Paper of Record) the Yeti is the best crossovoer of 2013 OUR FAVOURITE: SKODA YETI The Yeti may well be the most all-round versatile vehicle since the original Land Rover. It’s compact enough to be easy to park and swing around town in, spacious enough that it almost qualifies as an MPV (especially with those slide, fold, tilt and remove rear seats) and yet rugged enough that, equipped with optional four-wheel drive, it can bash through mud and over rocks like a proper 4x4. The fact that it also has a comfy, high-quality cabin and has a Band A-rated 1.6 TDI Greenline model is just the icing on the crossover cake. Best buy: 1.6 TDI CR Ambition Greenline (€26,360)
  13. Spotted a Platin Grey UK personalised plate the other day here in Longford, the middle of Ireland. M50 KOP, was easy to remember that one

    Dealer gone

Called my local friendly and efficent dealer whom I've bought both Monsters form to arrange first service on current Yeti only to be told they ceased to be a Skoda Franchise yesterday. Michael Shaw Cars Longford were not a glass palace dealers but more like the old fashioned friendly and efficent dealers of yore. Nearest service franchise is also an Mercedes, VW and Audi so don't expect the same lowish pricing.
  15. Here it was marketed as Platin Grey and rhis is how mine looked
  16. Skoda Ireland ran this on TV last year when launchung the Urban and have run others too ove rpast three years
  17. Sorry, I should have said in OP that the piece is rubber, approx 60mm length on top straight edge
  18. Today the piece of trim/seal pictured below fell to road when I opened Near Side/drivers door. It's definitely part of the trim/seal but I cannot locate where it has detached from. I compared it to Off Side/ Passenger door and again could not find where it originates. Anyone else encounter this. Yeti is a six month old Urban so it'll be back to dealers to remedy I'd imagine. Obverse Reverse
  19. Have a MY13 Urban with panoramic glass and it has these internal leds, picture below
  20. No idea what a nectar card is! It gives you free puncture repairs at servicing dealer 10% off accessories and services There are also discounts of up to 10% off a variety of online retailers e.g. Elvery Sports and travel/leisure breaks. Don't know what National Pricing is either but they've launched a new sales/marketing promo this week. Buy any new Skoda up to 17th this month and get fuel at 99c a litre from a nationwide brand of fuel for 12 months.
  21. Picked up my first puncutre in about 15 years today. Driving along rear felt a bit wooly so pulled over and saw offside rear was deflated about 50%. I've the spare so opened boot and took out all the tools only to find no little tweezer thingymajig to remove bolt covers. Off to dealers I went and they took it in immediately and found a nice 4" nail embedded into tyre which they duly removed ( as you would) and plugged the hole. Went into service reception to pay and was asked did I receive a myskoda.ie card and did I have it on me. Handed over card, it gets swiped and lo and behold the repair was free. Result. Is this loyalty scheme in operation anywhere else other than Ireland?
  22. Here's two images taken with a 14-24mm lens and as you can see the proportions 'appear' different to actual Yeti
  23. Ah Jaysus no Lucky to be in an unlucky situation where we can change every two years for little cost. Having said that, I do miss the auto mirror and wipers
  24. Here's a nice used Yeti Ambition if anyone wants it , doesn't have the flexibility of Photoemt's but is in great nick http://www.carzone.i...rt?channel=CARS
  25. Yeah, our (Ireland) spec is different. We get panoramic sunroof and Bolero radio, sunset glass and bi coloured annapurnas. @Photoemt The sunroof is the only difference really. The 2010 Ambition had rain sensing wipers, auto dimming rear view mirror, drivers lumbar support all of which are missing from the 2012 Urban. Still, the change means I've a three year new car warranty and it cost less than €1000 with the trade in. Driven 600 miles so far and what has somewhat surprised me is the higher MPG working out at 53mpg on maxidot which is not bad IMHO for a new tight engine. One thing that has struck me is the amount of ppl commenting on how the white Yeti looks and when I tell them it's the same car model as previous except different colour they are surprised - maybe the greys/silvers are anonymous ans invisible.
