  1. No problem. I'll be there with all the usual kit. 1) sharkrider + black&white 2) Gilly & Wibble 3) APD007 - provisional until I can get work to confirm I can have the time off. 4) bryand
  2. My current car won't make it, but would be OK for one in the spring, say late March.
  3. Home again after a 5-hour trip. Great to meet everybody and a good time was had by all! Starting the packing list for next year...
  4. I'm bringing the 8'x8' gazebo we had last year, two charcoal BBQs and the fridge. Any contributions of charcoal will be welcome. I'll try to get there by 2 on Friday.
  5. For the earlybirds who will be driving up when they would otherwise be eating: anyone arriving between 6 pm and 10 pm on the Friday night gets a free hot dog from the BBQ!
  6. I'd be aiming to arrive on the Friday (easier travelling) and be on site from mid afternoon. Anybody else an earlybird?
  7. Well I could put my moonshine still on the BBQ, but it may take more than 3 days ...
  8. Come on Jase, we've got lots of new BBQ recipes for you to try!
  9. I'll bring it up to the Lakes next time: I should be able to charge it on the campsite. Take Eco mode off and you get the afterburner!
  10. I'm going to have to drop out of this one I'm afraid. My new wheels are a bit too new to work out the logistics!
  11. Good probability I could make the 8th - I need some more cider brandy for marinating my pears ....
  12. Yes, long journeys are a pain with current EVs, but how many of them do you actually do? How often do you travel more than 80 miles a day? If I can recharge at home every night (for 2p/mile Economy 7 compared to 11p/mile diesel), I can use a Leaf-style car to do all but the longest of my trips. The big change in battery technologies looks like it will kick in about 2016-17, so now isn't a good time to buy a brand new EV. But the deals going on 6-month-old ex-demonstrator Leafs mean I'll be having a good look at them, as an interim measure (before I can afford the Tesla that everybody knows I really deserve). Bryan
  13. . Maybe there should be a Briskoda staff Citigo with a tow bar so you could tow the mongrel around for its celeb appearances.
  14. OK I think this will link to some of my pics of the weekend. They make it look like we spent the whole time eating. We didn't. The majority of time was spent drinking, but only after a gentle drive in the countryside... Thanks to everyone for making it such a success - the best yet, I think.
