Hahaha! Not the first to suggest it but she's a great cook and the kids are getting good at washing cars and holding spanners.... -

Thanks people, most hospitable. Now, where can you get the PD160 intake for less than stellar money??? -
How do all, Black Magic 05 Furby VRS. Mildly upgraded, so far only managed to find time and cash to add a re-map done by a kindly friend in the trade (about 180 brake), Mintex F and R cross drilled and grooved discs, and a Seat strut brace from another mate. However, keep reading about all those lovely things that can be done and wish the cheque book didnt always seem to be surrendered to kiddie stuff and other bills (damn they can eat)! Quite fancy sorting out the breathing a bit better but since she's already pretty quick a Whiteline ARB or a new set of shocks and springs look like a tempting idea meantime. So, bang for buck what do we think guys and gals? In priority/ cash per smile order where should i go? Bear in mind the Wife now has my Scooby WRX classic (bought as the "Daddy express estate" in 2003 then surrendered to her 2 years ago when fuel bills started to bite) so am used to handling and speed... In fact i often prefer the Furby to drive but in outright a to be terms the Scooby is spanking good and it would be great to get the Furby closer to that benchmark. Great to see everyone so active, boy this site has saved me some cash over the last few years - thanks all! All suggestions for an increasingly poor and ageing Father gratefully received... James.

Ok, I finally turned to the dark side... Fabia VRS in black with 26k on the clock (God, my first diesel, can it be true?) has mysteriously made its way onto my driveway this week. Bought on New Year's Eve when a canny dealer called me back to say "what will you pay for it to put the order in before year end?". Jolly nice of him but a bit awkward while travelling on the Dartmouth ferry and enjoying a massive hangover (practicing for 31st you'll understand)! Seems good so far, taut and lots of grip, just need an excuse to get out and give her a good thraping. Will report the progress no doubt soon. Keep shredding those tyres!
