where do i find the secret key code? this all seems hard anyone know an independant place i could get a key cut and coded or is it only main delaer?

Hi there, I ve just bought a mk1 octavia and i need a spare key. Some people have said you can re code keys with vag-com. is this right?? Is vag-com easy to use? and i see its available on ebay... USB KKL Vag-Com 409.1 Cable VW Audi seat skoda Scanner on eBay, also, Diagnostic Tools Equipment, Garage Equipment Tools, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 28-Jan-08 03:01:22 GMT) Is this the proper vag-com??? Hi everyone, I am new to this forum as i have just purchased a 2002 octavia vrs. I am looking around as i want to service it soon and i think i may need to change the cam as i dont have a service receipt for this. I see from the posts in the Review Section for Streets that a few people dont recommend streets!! Where would you guys take your car and where do you recomend. Would need to be in Bristol. Whats Clist and Rattle like?? It dosnt have to be main dealer, if anyone knows a good independant in the bristol area. Also any ideas on the cost of a spare key? Thanks In advance, Matt.
