  1. Thanks for the replies. Ive done all I can possibly do with the tools I have so I xill be taking the car to a qualified auto electrician to be looked at. I hope its not the ECU as im guessing that will be mega money and the cars already cost me enough recently :(
  2. I've replaced the M.A.F allready and It is running fine with or without it being plugged in but keeps throwing the error code up
  3. Hi guys, I'm looking for some advice on a fault I've got on my 2006 Octavia VRS 2.0 Tfsi. A couple of weeks ago my battery died and I replaced it with a new one. Ever since it died I have had a fault that keeps triggering the EML, the fault is P0100. Since having the fault I have tried cleaning the M.A.F sensor, checked the M.A.F wireing loom to the sensor for damage, changed the M.A.F and have ran a data log using the bluetooth torque OBD softwear. The M.A.F is showing a constant reading of 633 G/S at idle and full throttle. I'm not sure if the scan tool is reading it wrong so i am going to try it on my mates car this weekend to see if it actually works. If any one has had any experience of this fault or has any idea of a way to resolve it. I would really appreciate any assistance given as I'm already £120 in with no resolve. Thanks for reading
  4. I'm hoping it is something as simple as that, Fingers crossed
  5. UPDATE - The car is booked into bickertons in sheff on thursday so should hopefully find out what the fault is. whilst on the phone he checked for any outstanding recalls but there wasnt any so im guessing mines had it done before my 8 months of ownership . thanks

  9. hi guys im looking for some help and advice. over the last week or so my car (06 Vrs TFSI) has been running a bit ruff and felt like it had a flatspot between about 2 - 3K RPM. But on the way home today i was on a dual carrigeway doing about 50mph in 6th and under gentle acceleration from low revs it started to judder rather violently and then the E.M.L started flashing i slowed and changed down and it went off. The fault can be replicated in 4th and 5th aswell. has any one any idea what it could be or had any experience of a similar fault? thanks in advance
  10. Thanks for the reply. I've only driven about 3 miles since so I don't think I have given it enough time but I will go for a hoon tonight Thanks
  11. Hi guys, I changed my panel filter for an itg one (2006 TFSI VRS) this afternoon and on reassembly forgot to reconnect the MAF sensor (like an extreme tool) and now the EML is on. I've reconnected it and the car drives absolutely fine but the light won't go off. Will it clear its self or need clearing by VCDS? Thanks in advance

  13. im going to change the pcv on my 2006 tfsi after research i have found the latest revision suited to my car is part no 06F-129-101-N. is there any other parts i will need such as gaskets or hoses? any advice greatly appreciated
  14. i fitted the exact same intake to my stage 1 vrs and removed it after a few weeks. After changing back to standard i did feel a drop in performance and throttle response but the noise was to much for everyday driving. The intake does sound good when you are rearly pressing on and using the full rev range and if you are a fan of dump valve noise there is plenty of it

  20. Hi there I am on my second week of ownership of my new (to me) 2006 race blue Octavia vrs and i am thinking of fitting parking sensors. I have seen a kit but need the paint code to order it I have checked the boot but half the white label is missing I have had a search and see some people say it is 8x8x and others say there is different 4 digit numbers eg 9463. Could someone please clarify or point me in the right direction of finding out. Thanks in advance
