  1. Years ago (2006!) I had the same issue on a brand new Octavia vRS, carpets completely sodden. Turned out to be a kinked drain hose from the A/C. Your car looks great by the way👍
  2. I currently have a 150 SEL Exec, 3 years old 90k miles. Ive always liked Skodas, I’ve perviously had an 03 mark 1 Superb, an 06 Octavia petrol vRS and an 08 mark 2 Superb. In a couple of weeks I’m moving back to BMW with a 530e PHEV. I’m very fortunate to be a user chooser company car driver and the BIK rates on PHEV make it a bit of a no brainer. If the Superb PHEV had been ready I’d have taken a look but no sign of it.
  3. Push the ACC leaver towards the front of the car, ACC info will be replaced by the odometer.
  4. It would be interesting to hear how average mpgs compare alongside tyre wear. 150 TDI, 18", 6mm left all round on 18500 miles! I average aprox 52mpg, think I'm a bit of a granny.
  5. I liked the different fan speed option (low/high) for the auto setting on the Mk 2 Superb, I thought my Mk 3 didn't have it......I know RTFM! which I will now go and do.
  6. Personally I agree, I think moon has a mushroomy/bluey hue. However it seems that different people "see" the colours differently.
  7. Manual 150, long term average 52mpg. Yesterday I drove 110 miles from the Midlands down to Bristol, M42, M5. Adaptive Cruise set on 75 or 80 most of the time, often travelling slower due to traffic. Long stretches of managed motorway and road works (average speed check) with 50mph limit so cruise set to 56mph. Arrived showing 66mpg for the journey, amazing car!
  8. cnc linked to my thread, all I can say is that on my manual the auto hold (standard) does exactly what I want, it holds the car as my foot transitions from the brake to the accelerator on a hill start. I still don't understand what the £100 option of hill hold would add! Would love to be enlightened!
  9. ......and that was the photo, seen on here that led to my colour and wheel choice!
  10. Yes, that's right Birmingham. Now to be honest I chose Candy White as I would have to have paid a monthly upgrade for Metallic! But now, IMHO, if you like white then go for Candy, Moon is certainly more unusual but it's not really white! Mine looks stunning when clean, very happy with it.
  11. I was at the dealers yesterday and as I left I saw a Moon White Superb so I backed my Candy White up to it and took these pics. Both had a sheen of dirt but I thought it could be helpful to future choosers, I know it's been discussed on here a few times. Moon white on the left, Candy white on the right. Dan
  12. I'm also on my third diesel Superb (a Mk 1, 2 and now 3) covering in excess of 160k miles. I've always used the cheapest diesel (usually supermarket) and have never had any DPF issues. However they have all been company cars so it's not my problem of I run into trouble!
  13. I have a 150 manual, I've come directly from a BMW 520d which I think is 183hp and before that a 170 Superb mk 2. I find the 150 is smooth and strong, feels as powerful as the BM. The only thing I don't like about the car is that I find it a bit loud at anything above 75mph, feels like it needs an extra gear to settle into the cruise.
  14. You old cynic!.....actually fairly solid advice as this morning it's sorted itself out and is now working!
  15. Ran low on diesel today, warning light came on, filled the tank and the gauge is still showing empty. Dealer said leave over night to see if it sorts itself but I've just tried it again and still not working. Anyone else seen this problem?
  16. There are at least 2 threads on here about the standard auto hold vs the optional hill hold.....for the life of me I'm still not sure what the hill hold would add! All I know is that with my manual with the auto hold on I never need to touch the hand brake.....and it holds on hills!
  17. The SEL Exec does sit above the SE Business.....but some inexplicable reason the SEL Exec does not have front parking sensors which are standard on the SE Business.
  18. Ah, memories of my Superb II in 2009! http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/123907-the-mysterious-story-of-the-hard-ride-and-knocking-noise-when-going-over-speed-bumps/#entry1559832
  19. Yes, I suppose a 7 speed would explain it, mine's manual btw
  20. My boss was in my car yesterday and he did comment that the sound was louder on the motorway than my old 520d, must say I agree. At 80 mph in 6th the engine is running at 2100rpm (150 diesel): he has an Audi A6 190 DSG and told me today his engine is below 1700rpm at 80mph...at 95mph he's at 2000rpm. Anyone else find the 150 diesel a little loud on the motorway?
  21. I took delivery of my new SEL 150 manual hatch last week, a company car. We have an allowance for our grade and my car was £30/month above my entitlement so I make that up from my salary. I saw the updated list today and the lease price on my car has dropped by £60/month and I could now have a 150 DSG L and K for my £30 upgrade! Has anyone else seen lease/contract hire prices drop significantly?
