Cheers for that fatty5000, that link is a useful one & now on my favourites. Took the car to jabba this morning for the guys to have a look at. Brian came back & said the N249 valve was nadgered, but they checked out all the other good stuff & found my DV was goosed instead. The penny valve had apparently stuck open, so they've replaced it free of charge:thumbup:........MINT!!! Now the car is once again back to herself & pulls like a b#####d. Life is good.

Engine management lamp came back on again at the weekend, after 500 miles. Took it back to the garage who use a Bosch diagnostic system (KTS 650). it gave out 2 codes: P1200 Exhaust supercharger valve mech fault. P0411 Secondary air system low flow rate. Has any body come accross these before, if so what did it boil down to. Many thanks Graham.

Had it to the garage yesterday, they checked it out & said the fault is on the DV valve (funny as when i got it remapped jabba fitted an APR R1 DV valve) there was also other codes for the secondary air system (probably a split pipe!!!) Any way they reset the light & it hasn't come since, but the car doesn't seem as quick or it may just be physcological. Guess I'll have just suck it & see. :(

First ever post so go easy!!! Drove my octy to work today, & as I pulled in the carpark the external lamps went dim & the alternator type symbol lit up on the dash. :( I initially thought the alternator had gone but checked the output & it was OK. :thumbup:Looked on the forum at probable causes; ie the MAF, the airpipes etc... but all seems to be ok. When i got the car in february i changed the MAF from skoda (could it have gone belly up already!!) then got a Jabba remap , I've always ran it on super unleaded & it's always ran sweet as a nut. Had the thing on cold/first start; when it stutters abit but when it's warm she's a gooden. I've noticed a bit more soot deposits around the back end is this related to the state of the fuel air mix???? I don't have VAGCOM; (but I am seriously considering getting it) so can't interagate the ecu for any codes or further pointers. Does any one live in the lincoln area have it so i could slap her on to check my lady's health. Much appretiated. Otherwise it's off the garage for my eyes out by the robbing *******'s.
