Headlights - fullbeam cuts out dipped beam?
sifre replied to IJMB's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
With the standard H4 headlights, it's normal. The dual filament H4 bulb would generate too much heat if both the main and dipped beam is turned on for longer time. -
The kessy is turned off if the main battery voltage is too low.
-
Not a design flaw but a faulty head unit. Dealer will replace it under warranty.
-
Be careful, most 1.2 TSI Fabias are fitted with 288mm front brakes and the 14" rims don't fit on them. The correct size is 185/60 R15.
-
You can adjust the sensivity with the 4 stage switch on the wiper arm.
-
There is no radio code in MK3 Fabia. The unit is part of the component protection system and it only needs coding when put in another car.

sifre replied to jjwinston's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
The ESP unit is different. The simpler with front assist can only do emergency braking, the ACC unit can adjust the brake force too. -
Check for the engine code on the sticker in the spare wheel carrier. CUSB is 90ps, CUTA is 105ps.

You set the interior temperature with the knob. If set it to 22 degrees it will cool to 22 degrees.

Moon white is a metallic color. Take a macro picture of it with flash and you will see the particles.
-
Is it a 1.4 TDI? If yes, tell the dealer to change the water pump.
-
You can't switch the direction of the beam, there are different part numbers for LHD and RHD.

What Twincharger motor will work in a Fabia III?
sifre replied to mmmRacer's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
The twincharger is a previous generation engine, you should think about an 1.4 TSI 150ps or an 1.8 TSI from a Polo GTI -
Temperature to check Oil
sifre replied to MasterJediAlejandro's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
100°c oil temp is normal in turbocharged petrol engines. -
Unfortunately you can't do that due to the limitations of the door electronics.
-
The ABS/ESP unit is different in cars with ACC, so it's not easy and cheap to retrofit.
-
Dont't forget that with the 110ps engine you get disc brake instead of drums on the rear and bigger front discs.
-
The switchable water pump impeller is a common problem on the EA288 engines. It stucks in closed position and only the electric pump circulates the coolant which isn't enough at bigger loads.
-
Two new options appeared in the hungarian Fabia configurator, adaptive cruise control and rear view camera. Just sayin'

What do you think of Kessy - should I upgrade to Go?
sifre replied to bunnydrumming's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
Kessy go means that you can start the engine without using the key, but you still have to unlock the car with the remote buttons. You need full Kessy to unlock the car only by touching the door handles. -
There is no sunglasses holder with panoramic roof.
-
Do any of you have is option in your car?
sifre replied to Alexsus's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
The eco tips should be enabled by default since MY2015. -
Someone should make a key ring with an external LR20 battery holder for everyone who can't live with this major issue.
