    with regards to insurance..........................1400!!!!! people keep mentioning fuel etc, but im lucky enough to cycle to work, so only actually use the car for pleasure, covering between 300-500 miles a month! so fuel economy isnt really an issue!! or as i say to the guys at work who are all 24 and drive diesel ford focus' - - - MPG is for gays

    It's been rolling tossed at 401bhp, so it's quite nippy. It's already turned into a moneypit haha!! Spent roughly 2500 on it in 9 days haha!! The gearbox is also whine ing slightly (retard spelling), so I shall soon be saving up about another 3000 for new internals

    Nah the 400 isn't on the mk1 mate, I'm px ing it fo a 400 brake impreza p1! There is a fella on here tho who is running a 450bhp mk1 ! Try Searching red devil and you should ge some info, or check the old car of the month blogs

    Don't worry about it, I was just being a complete mong all along! It was turning itself off after an hour, no back light, not turning on/off with ignition and the multichanger wasn't working!!! All sorted when I took the hu back out, realised I hadn't plugged the 3rd connection in! Doh!! Feel like a bit of a muppet

    still cant work out why the backlight for the display isnt working, or why it doenst turn on when key is in ignition/ turn off when removed

    right the issue i have at the moment is i cant find the "Key on" setting previously mentioned. also the backlight isnt working

    cheers guys, all sorted no, only thing now is it doenst turn on/off unless i hit the button. i know with an alpine HU you switch the red/yellow bullet connections, but cant see any on the standard loom

    hey guys, ive refitted my original skoda radio, all its showing is "SAFE" when i try and enter my 4 digit radio code it just stays saying "SAFE 0409" what do i have to press next?

    clive why couldnt you have stacked your car 2 years ago when i 1st bought my octy! would have snapped up pretty much everything you and leeboy have up for sale lol

    sounds like no exhaust, no air filter either, seeing at you can hear the turbo so loud

    why bother? theres nothing wrong with the octy filter? what possible gain could be had from doing this?
