  1. What about North Valeting & Detailing if going to Jason isn't an option? Chris
  2. JRW, it used to be ShowShine Detailing I believe. They have launched a range of their own products, which is why the name change, all of which look pretty good from the reports I've seen. There is one particular one that intrigues me greatly Ceramishield from Concours Car Care Two years protection, sounds good to me! Chris
  3. You have to love the pink-to-red turnarounds, nice work sir Chris
  4. Hi All Came across this deal on a foam lance, thought it might be of interest to fellow members: Foam Lance from Councours Car Care Hope this is of interest. Chris
  5. Looking very shiny, as we now expect from you. Is that a bottle of Jetseal 109 I spy in your goodie collection? What does that work out to compared to Blighty All the Best Chris
  6. Hang on a minute......you've already got a warehouse for the weekend details, and the 'greenhouse' when it's not the weekend!:P:D
  7. This Word document might be useful to you Superb Bulbs 2.doc
  8. You're right there, I can't argue with that. What you have done is very tasteful indeed. I'm really missing the Superb now:weeping:
  9. Shame it wasn't built on the same platform as the A6, that would have been one hell of a car. Looking forward to seeing this one in the flesh though.
  10. They are LED marker lights in the front and rear bumpers. Just stumbled across this thread Baker21, stunning pictures of the car mate.
  11. Tweaked a little?!?:P Matt, are you going for the Briskoda Understatement of the Year award already!?
  12. The Ring ones never seem to have done very well in reviews either.......sorry Chris! The Phillips X-treme however, now they appear to be a different matter. Very tempted to get some of them. Just over
  13. Attached to one of my old posts HERE Hope that helps Chris
  14. I have a PDF file for the above, but done on a Passat. If you want it, PM me with your email address, and I'll send it to you (tried to upload it here, but didn't appear to work) DOC file with list of bulb types for the Superb attached All the Best Chris Superb Bulbs.doc
  15. As you have a dual core machine, if you aren't already, you could run two console clients?
  16. I know what you are saying, but at least the C4GP knows what it's about.:P Having suffered a Xsara Picasso for 3 years, this car is a completely different animal in every way:D I would have loved to have kept the Superb, but couldn't really bear to lose any more on it than I already had. The Superb, as I have said before, suffers from an identity crisis. This is especially true of the marketing. What sector is it meant to compete in?? Unfortunately, Skoda's distinct lack of marketing for the Superb has left some of us footing a rather heavy depreciation bill. Let's hope they don't make the same mistake with the Superb2
  17. Have you tried sealing the surface in after polishing with a sleant and/or wax? Which polish are you using by the way? Detailing World is a good place to look for advice as well.
  18. Very good question Chris. Originally the talk was that it was going to be on the same platform as the Audi A6. As the current Passat is on a stretched Golf platform, that meant the new Superb should have been bigger (and better, again). However, if Skoda have changed their mind used the same platform as the current Passat, then I personally can't see it being much different to the Passat. I don't know if anyone been able to confirm which platform they are using. One thing is for sure, Skoda need to do some marketing for the Superb2. IMHO the residuals on the Superb1 have suffered because it has an identity crisis. Essentially, no-one really knew which category it was meant to be in. I was shocked how little we got for ours when we got rid of it. I really miss that car, but I wasn't prepared to lose more money on it.
  19. There is a PDF file that might help others in the same boat. I know it's for a Passat, but it's the same under the bonnet! PM if of interest
  20. Brace yourself then chaps! Mine needed new discs and pads all round at 40k:eek: That was a bill I didn't want to see that early:thumbdwn:
  21. Go via My Computer, and navigate to the Folding@Home(or whatever you have called your folder) folder in Program Files. There will be a text file call unitinfo, which will tell you what percentage has been completed.
  22. As Baker says, Detailing World is the place to look. Once you have washed and polished, a good wax will give the protection you are after. Collinite 476S is known for it's longevity. Many people on DW use it as their winter wax, as it will last for months, not weeks. Elite Car Care (one of the trade partners on DW) has an Ebay shop, and I bought the Collinite as a kit, which comes with two applicator pads, and microfibre cloths, which is really good value.
  23. For some pics see here UPDATE: 2008 Skoda Superb Scoop Images This subject has arisen a few times: The hatch is a two section affair, so that it can be opened as a full hatch: Carscoop_SKSUP_18.JPG (image) or just the bottom section opens, like the boot on a saloon: In the first picture, on the inside of the tailgate, are large black covers, which hide the hinge mechanism for the two sections.
  24. Hi First 'Show it Off', so hope it is of high enough standard. While we were car-less waiting for our Citroen C4 Grand Picasso, and SWMBO was in and out of hospital, my parents very kindly let us borrow one of their cars. :thumb: This a Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDi Ambiente in Corrida Red. As it happens, they have ordered a brand new Octavia 1.9 TDi Elegance in Flamenco Red Metallic. As they are collecting the new one on Tuesday they asked me to give the current car a going over for them before it goes as the Part Ex. Sadly, no before shots as I forgot to charge the batteries! No interior shots either, as it was only a hoover out and wipe down job. Wheels cleaned with AG Engine & Machine Cleaner, and rinsed with hose. I did the wheels a few weeks ago with SRP and EGP, so I definitely found them easier to clean up this time round. Car foamed with Superspray, using the complimentary shampoo that John included with the Superspray. Washed with wash mitt, then rinsed well, before being dried with MF's and Meg's NXT Speed Detailer. Then SRP applied to whole car with MF, then went back and buffed off with MF. Then applied EGP and left for an hour, then buffed off with MF. Tyres and trim treated with Meg's Endurance Tyre Gel. Exhaust tip cleaned with Meg's Metal Polish. This was more for shine and effect, so correction was not really on the agenda Pics as follows:
