Hi there i used to have a skoda fabia 1.4mpi, then changed to a honda civic coupe. Could do with a diesel now really, off to look at a fabia vrs 54 reg with about 55,000 on the clock. Anything to look for or check? I know of the problem with the washer jet leaking. What is the problem with the back door seals? How many miles do you do to a tank? 500? i was struggling to get 350 in the honda. Cheers Dan

I may one day swing back to a vrs i was considering them but i thought ive got one allready and didnt want another for a while. Honda suits my needs better, and i would have still found it hard to get over the price of diesel, thanks again guys dan -

tyre size does make a BIG difference, i went from a 195/45/15 to a 195/50/15, the car now drives so much better it doesnt follow the road as much trying to tramline anymore! and it soaks up the bumps better, improved the ride now end, a worthy mod!

chemicalbrother replied to Kamatari's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Do what paddy joe says! i basically did that, fitted golf mk4 steelies 15inch and put on some toyo proxies, yeah it does look **** and people say err steelies. But i have a much better handling car and i have the option of putting trims back on if i like. Cost me £20 for the steelies without tyres and £160 for 195/45/15 proxies best ive had so far. -

well they claim to lower the front and rear 40mm but i wont know until i get them on. Right ill think ill buy when of them tools from vw/skoda to spread the hub. Would you guys recommend on me cutting the bumpstops the same way you have done on your vrs? i just thought while there off i should give it a go and kill two birds with one stone, as its 40mm drop do you think it will be worth it, to avoid a choppy ride as u get with the eibach's? or does this not apply to koni springs? Regards Dan
