  1. Dave, as you are more a part time worker I would say this is why they have let you go. I work at the B'ham West branch (Halesowen), and we are the opposite to Bristol where we need more drivers to ease the work load having to do both companys work load. As gadgetman says, a relocation might work. Try speaking to the manager at Muller Road, obviously there is no guarentee, but taking on more areas would mean an increase in del & coll so they might need more drivers. Or try looking for different driving jobs, i'm sure there would be quite a few out there - and better paid too.
  2. Dave, Do you work for Europcar or National? (I know there supposed to be 'one' company now, but you know what I mean) Are you full time or key time? Not sure of the legallities of your termination but may well be worth a call to HR dept and also speak to the citizens advice people. I too am really ****ed of at the moment about this merger. I work for National, but we have become a dual branded site, so we have to to deliveries and collections for both companies. So twice the work, twice the headache, having to use the absolutly sh1te Greenway system, and, to top it all off - no increase in wages - oh joy. I really feel for you at the moment, hope you can sort some work out soon, and get your car sorted. James
  3. Or how about something from the VAG stable James
  4. Must agree its a great film, a lot funnier that I expected. Took my nephews to see it on Friday, and reluctantly the wife agreed to come along too - and she really enjoyed it. Roll on Iron Man 2 I say. James
  5. Hmm, this gives me an idea for the Octavia (MK1). With baby coming along soon i'm guessing these would be a lot cheaper than getting the windows tinted. Have already told the Mrs that I refuse to have those blinds with stupid faces on that just stick to the glass:rolleyes: Any body know the part numbers/ prices for these? James
  6. Thanks again for your input. Fatty, I've ordered the same clip as you. I think that is a good position and it keeps all the vents clear. And I got the phone holder part off ebay, saving myself about a fiver:thumbup: so hopefully Monday/Tuesday I will have it fitted. James
  7. Thanks for that guys, Fatty, does the holder get in the way of the stereo? James
  8. Can anyone recommend a good mobile phone holder? I normally put my phone in the cubby under stereo, but have accidently left in in the car a few times when i've got to work or when I get home. I dont want to drill any holes in the dash to fix a holder, and the ones I've had in the past that attatch to vents aren't too cleaver for my liking. Phone is an LG Viewty by the way:rolleyes: James
  9. Cracking Job there. I was wondering about the remote too? Where did you get the tax disc holder from? James
  10. Really liking the twin pipe as well. Better get saving I think;)
  11. Just had a bit of a thought:rolleyes: what about trying Powerflow? they make exhausts for any vehicle I think:confused:, and you could get any tail pipe you wanted. James
  12. No problems. Does any one know if you can just get a back box on its own? (all sites seem to be from at least the cat back) Having been used to this for the last couple of years it would be nice to get something that fills the bumper cut out a bit more: . James
  13. Matt, is the one from P-Torque stainless steel? From the picture the back box looks like just mild steel, could end up costing more in the future when it rots. Probably best going for a full stainless set up - at least you'll know it will last. James
  14. Should just be a case of unplugging the factory unit and replace with a nice new one. I did have a multi plug left over, but this controls the muliti changer (VRS). Which i am not using. (got a cd head unit with a usb port to plug in my mp3 player) If you do find you need an adaptor (will probably need one for the aerial any way) just get yourself down to somewhere like Halfrauds and they sould be able to help. James
  15. I think this is a pretty good photo James
