  1. Boring handling (it's setup for understeer rather oversteer) and boring sound compared to other V8's even with the sport button on.
  2. E92 (they didn't do a 335i on previous models). I doubt you could get one worth having for the £7k though as someone else suggested.
  3. Down pipes, cat back system and a juice box 4 which resulted in well over 400bhp and loads of torque everywhere in the rev range.
  4. I found the RS4 boring, the 335i with a few choice mods was much better and I had no reliability problems with it. Having said that I'm looking at moving back to a Boxster.
  5. I use Autoshine who are based in Wakefield. Here's some pics from when I had the 500 detailed.
  6. I really like the look of that, have you got any interior pics? I might consider a DSG equipped car for commuting when it's time to change the 500 as a manual can become tiring in traffic. Louise must have been in the 10% as she told me you used to have to tell her to slow down.
  7. Supposedly it will be 100bhp and in the zero tax bracket for emissions. My 1.2 current is 69bhp and in the £30 tax bracket. However the 0.9T will most likely be more expensive to buy than the 1.4.
  8. Yeah, I've only read bad reviews of diesel. I could be tempted to change it when the 900cc 2 cylinder turbo petrol comes out though.
  9. I went for the 1.2 as for it's intended use it doesn't need to be quick, just economical. It has stop/start on it too which is ideal for my commute.
  10. I recently bought a new Fiat 500 Lounge for commuting and it's a great car, lovely spec and fantastic retro looks especially the interior which I think is what sold it for me. As I've just had it detailed by a local guy; Autoshine I thought I should post some pics up. I haven't had the BMW done yet and will be waiting until next month when he opens up a new bay in a neighbouring village as it needs more work than the 500.
  11. I wouldn't worry too much about that engine torque monitor code. It's because you're running a lot more torque than standard. It can be mapped out by altering the torque limits in the map. I'm pretty sure I only had it when I had an early Revo map and it was gone on later maps.
  12. Thanks fordfan, I think you're right, good thinking. That hadn't occurred to me but makes sense.
  13. Thanks for the advice so far. I've now established I can connect to the following modules: Engine Auto Trans ABS Airbags Sound System Radio Park Assist I can't connect to these: Instruments HVAC Central Convenience So it does appear to be a wiring problem. As I have previously managed to connect to the CCM but now can't I think I will start checking the wiring there.
  14. I just wanted to clarify I think this is an issue with the car not VCDS which is a genuine cable running version 908.1 of VCDS.
  15. I'm having trouble connecting to certain modules on my 2001 Passat. I can connect to the engine, ABS & parking assist modules no problem. However I can't connect to the instruments at all and I connected to the central convenience once but now I can't. There was a fault on the central convenience along the lines of single line data bus mode. Sorry I can't be more accurate but was planning to go back in and get a copy of the fault code. Any advice on what the problem could be would be appreciated.
