  1. Well done mate! After 182 days anuver 14 days will soon fly by. Dont pay for an umbrella......you should have one as part of standard equipment....just check rear nearside door....if it their get the dealer to supply you one! Good luck with the car which I am sure you will really enjoy
  2. guys i ran a superb 130bhp (AWX code) on all sorts of bio mixs. the only modification i did was to insert a valve in the return line from the fuel filter. this stopped spent/excess hot fuel returning to the tank and therefore was used immediately with the benefit that it was hot fuel and flowed better that normal dinosaur deisel. throughout our winter months i used B30 available from our local supermarket. in summer months i moved up to an equilavent B70 mix and at least once per week used B100. i had no issues at all but decided it was best to change the fuel filter every 10k miles once i tried B100 in the winter and on starting the engine needed more cranking to start and then left her to idle for a few minutes. whilst warming up she did not like heavy acceleration so it was a case of take it easy. once warmed up to normal temp the old girl flew. i found exactly the benefits as you did.....quieter running, more torque etc etc. that car served me well for four years and some 250k miles. no injector problems whatsoever and the new owner has gone a stage further by installing twin tanks. this allows starting on 100% dinosaur deisel and when up to normal running temp she is switched over to 100% bio. just before shutting bthe engine down she is switched over to 100% dinosaur fuel in readiness for the cold start next day. this proceedure is used 365 days a year. the car is now almost 8yrs old and at 360k miles still running on original injectors and never once had a problem with the EGR valve etc. sadly my modified superb mk2 is unable to run on bio other than whats in the pumps.....all diesel here is now EU compliant and has a minimum 5% bio added although in France etc its nearer 10% bio added and she runs fine. enjoy your efforts with running on bio
  3. Had all 3 spoilers supplied by the dealer but took them to my bodyshop for painting and fitting. The roof spoiler is bonded to the spoiler there already. Front spoiler is also bonded and uses some bolts where the belly pan sits in. The rear diffuser once painted is simply slotted in place and held in place underneath with 4 screws. Tthe spoilers can be fitted prior to delivery or can be retro fitted. You can see the spoilers here: http://s1087.photobucket.com/albums/j480/markunderwood/
  4. darren...as you have presumed its a relatively simple job to do. The total that you have been quoted of around £100 is daylite robbery....thats why we call em stealer dealers. Buy the unit and do the job yourself....you'll get great satisfaction and you will have learnt something...have fun...do it yourself.
  5. My car with 2010 rSAP works absolutely fine with B/berry Torch and Nokia N5
  6. Guys.....H&R do lowering springs. see here http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/section.php?xSec=900&xPage=1 I also believe Eibach do some as well.
  7. Martin...will be up yr way in very near future...will bell you and perhaps we kin hook up and you kin see her in the flesh!!!! Spk soon  Also just found this for those that dont want to go the whole hog like i did: http://www.accessories.skoda.co.uk/productdetail.aspx?p_no=FDC509001
  8. Tankdave.....circa a oner for the diffuser. My paintshop charged me 75 notes to paint, cut/drill rear spoiler and fitting or roof and front spoiler. Hope this helps
  9. tankdave....you will be suprised that we started the engine and revved it WITHOUT the standard exhaust system....god it was so quiet it was unbelievable. I then decided on Jeff's advice just to have a centre section. I have today used the car locally and clocked up 80 odd miles....not a squeak of noise or boom or rumble on normal town driving. Poke the load pedal and there is just the faintest rumble from the exhaust. The diffuser is a genuine OE from the local stealer. I purched from spoiler, roof spoiler and the diffuser. The diffuser fitted to yr car does not have any "cut outs" for the exhaust. The new unit is just a push and click fit on the top edge above the reverse sensor and with four torx screws underneath. I had my bodyshop paint and fitted the fron and roof spoilers. They also cut the section for the rite hand exhaust and drill out the four holes for the sensors. They then painted the diffuser. I took the diffuser in the boot with me. It took Jeff a matter of 2 minutes to remove the "old" diffuser and around 5 minutes the reove the entire system as one unit. Base mesurements were taken from the old system for reference for the centre section to be made and hung. The reverse sensors were removed from the old diffuser and with new double sided tape were transfered to the new unit. The diffuser then took about 2 mins again to fit and connect wireing to the sensors. The car was again fired up and revved after the new centre section was fitted to test for noise level. I was gobsmacked at how quiet it was. The whole removal of the old system, design of a new system and manufacture of the same was around 5.5 hours and that included a lunch break and two tea breaks. Total cost of the system was £550 inc vat labour and parts. It comes with a lifetime warranty. Personally I think this was real value for money and it was a pleasure to spend it and certainly far cheaper than an OE system. The engine now breathes far better and therefore responds better and quicker. Despite the city driving today I got 38.7mpg and still had fun every now and then. Had a lot of VERY positive comments from loads of peeps today including the stealer dealer whoose jaw dropped on seeing all 3 spoilers fitted and painted and the quad exhausts.....it was first time for the stealer to see anything like this in the flesh. Jeff at Pipewerx at www.pipewerx.com on 01704 897778. Sorry for the plug but I AM NOT on commission. I am just an extremely satisfied customer and i defy anyone to try their services and not come away 100% satisfied. Those that are contemplating this should just GO FOR IT!!!!!
  10. The answers are YES and YES. Enjoy yr car when it comes!
  11. http://briskoda.net/forums/gallery/album/291/42-quad-exhuast-and-spoilers/ and also here http://s1087.photobucket.com/albums/j480/markunderwood/ Tankdave.....you will need the rear spoiler/difuuser which has the cut already marked and is simply cut out with an air saw. Also on the new spoiler you'll need to drill out the four holes which are clearly marked for your reverse sensonsors. Fitting of the new spoiler is dead simple.
  12. I have tried uploading 22 pics to a gallery on the forum and after one picuture I just keep getting error messages.[#107145] The image upload failed, please contact a system administrator There must be an easy way of inserting images here rather than uploading to another site and copying links...or is it me. I have lost my rag and given up trying to upload to a gallery. Anybody who wants the pictures pse send me an email....the good old fashioned and simple way.
  13. martin (Gizmo68)...yes I have had all the spoilers painted and fitted. Yesterday (Friday) I went walkabout up north and visited Jeff at Pipewerx. Yes .....you guessed right.....I finally had quad exhaust system fitted. And boy oh boy am I pleased....you bet I am. Jeff the owner of pipewerx did himself proud as well as me proud. The whole removal (from cat back) the disign and manufacture of the exhaust system was well worth the day out. jeff made me feel welcome and allowed me into the inner sanctum of his workshops to watch the whole process from start to finish. I must say that I just recommend anyone to visit his establishment as they will come away with the biggest ear to er grin ever. The sheer care, thought and precision that Jeff and his team took was just simply awesome. Each stage was explained fully. Also some of the machinery there like rear engined polo with some 500 bhp was a sight to behold let alone Jeff's twin RS3 engined VW Caddy van...absolutely blinding. So back to the quad exhaust.....absolutely stunning. On start up it sounds like a normal tdi. driving the car as usual taking it easy the sound from inside the car is as per normal. However knock the gear lever back into sport and poke the gas pedal to the floor the car simple rockets forward with a subdued growl. The number of times I had car almost rear ending me just to see wot was wot....a bespoilered Superb estate tdi with quad exhausts. One minute doing 85 then opening her up and showing 150 on the clock and 144 on Road Angel Vantage.....just awesome. I will take some photos of the spoilers and the exhaust plus a few thart I took on my blackberry. When I have worked how to upload them to here you'll just have to wait with baited breath. Next mods.....dunno yet but thinking of an uprated intercooler, hybrid turbo and a DPF delete and uprated brakes and sport lowering springs. Looks like another vist to Pipewerx coming up soon.
