  1. Hello. First of all, English is not my primary language, sorry for any mistakes. I know there are some topics about this, but I am still puzzled. So, I have a Monte Carlo 2012, steering wheel with red stitches, no MF buttons. I bought the necessary loom, and plan to buy a superb II steering wheel (4spoke) so I don't need a new airbag. So, I change the loom, the steering wheel and program the new function. But as I read, I still need to attach 3 additional cables? to the steering wheel column? Please help, thank you
  2. I am also interested in this unit. The seller on aliexpress says it is not meant for a Skoda Fabia, but by the looks of it, it should be just fine. There are some different version, the basic version has some problems with steering wheel controls on Skoda, the "noname" version should work fine. The biggest problem I see, is that it doesn't not support MFD output, so no info on songs or radio stations. It also supports rear view camera with some coding.
  3. First of all, let me apologize for my lack of knowledge concerning technical expressions, English is not my first language. I will try to describe the problem to my best ability. I own a Fabia I 1.4TDI, 2005. The problem started with car squeaking in cold or wet weather. I went to the mechanic, and he changed the "rubber thingies" under the car, replaced it with a RS model, said it would be better. And it was, the squeaking disappeared. But now I have a new, more annoying noise. In lower revs, the car sorts of vibrates, with this really annoying frequency that makes your ears hurt. For example, if I drive about 90km/h (about 55mph I guess) in fifth gear, the noise appears. If I press the clutch, or downshift, it goes away. If I drive below 2000rpm's the noise appears. Did I say it's really annoying? Every time I shift before 3000rpm, the car produces this sound. It's impossible to drive about 30mph in 3rd gear. My mechanic doesn't know what to do. Also, there is this really retelling sound coming somewhere from the passenger side, I would say from the glove compartment. I did empty it, didn't help. Anyone has any clues?
  4. I would like to put 12v wire to the rear of the trunk, but would like to install a seperate fuse for would like it to "supply" power only when I put the key in contact. sorry for my english, hope u understand what I want. Thanks in advance.
  5. a couple of weeks ago my backlight for speedometer stoped working. It was a blown fuse, it's the one that is for registration plate lights. Changed it, now it works again. Think it was a 5A fuse, brown colour.
  6. great, thank you for all your help. Just one last question. Since the alarm requires negative triggering...does the interior light work on +12v? Mine manual does say if conncted to +12v, I must change the polarity. I did have a quick look at the center interior light, it's connected with 3wires, which run on the right side of the car. And since my car has the whell on the left side, I have no idea where this wire goes to. The middle wire in red/black if I remember correctly.
  7. well, thank you, but now I have another silly question. what is the centre piller? sorry, i'm from slovenia, so have no idea what to look for. I think the micro switch in inside the door? So I must take the whole panel down, look for rubber cover, behind it should be the micro switch? And I guess every door has one?
  8. Mine alarm also requiers ground signal, but the problem is I don't have lights in my doors, so maybe that's why it's not working. People say I should connect it to door micro switch, but I have no idea where to connect oh, and my car doesn't have a warning for open doors (no light on the display if doors are not properly closed), so maybe I can't have this option. btw, I did notice an orange wire which should autolock the car when i press the brake pedal and unlock when I turn the car off. Anyone has any clue about this?
  9. i did try the brown/orange wire, but nothing happened. But thank you anyway, if you do find out, please let me know.
  10. well, the manual says the blue wire is for negative door triggering, but if I connect it over the lights, I should change polarity. I have no idea how to do that Thank you in advance, most kind of you
  11. I have seen this guide, was very useful. But, it only covers remote central locking, I also have an alarm. And I must wire the blue wire, to the door switch, so the alarm knows when the doors are open, so it can re-lock if I accidentally unlock the car. So I just need to know what wire tells the car the doors are open .)
  12. I tried the search, but didn't find what I was looking for. So, don't shoot me if this already had been covered I instaled an aftermarket alarm + remote to my 2004 fabia. All is working fine, but I am supposed to wire the blue wire from the alarm to my door switch. Can anyone tell me how I am supposed to do this? And sorry for any mistakes, I am not english Thank you
  13. that would be great...it's something like giordon v686tr. The manufacturer has a web site, but I don't think there are any manuals online, so will scan them tonight and send it to you. I did find out the windows open/close if I set the jumper for automaticaly rearming the alarm to off, otherwise, the windows neither open or close. Thank you in advance edit: found this, it seems to be exactly like mine moj album, najenostavnej¹a in najprijaznej¹a objava slik. do you know which wire is for doors switch, as it won't lock if I accidentaly unlock the car?
  14. Have a question regarding windows auto up. I installed a remote central locking, working fine. I have connected the green wire to the door wire. When I lock the car, the windows auto up. When I unlock the door, windows go down to about half size, and I can only control them if I first lock my car. Othewise, the buttons for windows control don't work. WTH?
