  1. Out of interest which forum did you find this in? Would be interested in more details on the Karoq Sportline and Scout but am not holding my breath!
  2. Great write-up, thank you for taking the time. Out of interest, does the SE Tech have the foldable tables on the back of the front seats as per the other trim levels? I'm surprised that you're able to fit so comfortably 'behind yourself' at 6' 5". I'm a little apprehensive as having tested with the VarioFlex seating in the rear I don't have much space 'behind myself'. Interesting that the 60/40 bench rear seat provides so much more space. I'd also be interested to know if you added one of the spare wheel options, and whether there's a step up when the rear seats are folded down.
  3. Great to see people enjoying their new vehicles, has anyone had a go at removing the tables yet? I'd be very interested to see what's behind them and whether it would be an easy mod to cover up the mounting points. It seems to be just a few torx screws holding the table assembly in place (originally thought it was Phillips but was mistaken).
  4. Would be interested if anyone can verify that this is available via UK dealers as it's not on the UK spec sheet (appreciate it is on the German spec sheet). I have a suspicion that a bit like with the foldable tables on the backrests, we won't get an option in the UK. The lack of the folding passenger seat option may even be due to the standard fit tables as the chair frames with the tables seem to have an extra metal bracket in the back to mount the tables onto. Interested to hear what a UK dealer or Skoda UK would have to say though.
  5. Sounds good! But there are also posts suggesting delivery dates in June/July. I'm going to take a look at the Volvo XC40 and BMW X2, and then probably order a Karoq in any case - heh.
  6. Looks like 1.5 TSI engine will soon be available in the Kodiaq with 4x4 as an option. Perhaps this will filter through to the Karoq too? http://www.skoda-auto.com/news/news-detail/kodiaq-lk Not sure what to do. Given the lengthy delivery times for a 1.5 TSI DSG in Petrol Blue I'm tempted to wait it out a few months to see if 4x4 appears as an option. Who knows, perhaps they might even introduce a trim that doesn't have the foldable tables as standard. This could all be wishful thinking though, hopefully someone from Skoda reads these forums and modifies the UK spec Karoq lineup just for me
  7. The configurator on the Czech Skoda website included an option (the one with "Jumbo Box" in the title) which has a picture of USB + 12V in the rear. Guess it's another option not (yet?) available for UK spec cars.
  8. I agree that it's pretty frustrating, but it's nice to have a choice of imperfect options for cars I do sometimes wish I could order a RHD vehicle from a Czech Skoda dealer or a German VW dealer though. The range of options available are (unsurprisingly) much better compared with the UK vehicles in both cases.
  9. Well damn, thank you for the info. That shows both how incomplete my research has been and the value of these forums! Kodiaq is too big for us unfortunately. Interesting none the less as it looks like the mpg loss would be in the 10 to 15% range going from FWD to 4x4.
  10. Ah, good point - must admit I hadn't considered the Yeti in my search. Would be interested to know how the 1.4 TSI performs a fuel economy point of view in its 4x4 guise. Would you mind sharing the type driving that you do and the sort of mileage that you are getting? Still unsure whether to hold out to see if the Karoq line up is updated to remove the folding tables and add a 1.5 TSI 4x4 option.
  11. Ah, wasn't aware of that. My theory doesn't hold water in that case!
  12. I don't think I've seen either the 1.4 or 1.5 TSI engines as 4x4 anywhere in the VW group but I may be mistaken. The 2.0 TSI however is available as a 4x4 for both the Ateca and the Tiguan. I hope I'm wrong but I wouldn't be surprised if the 1.5 TSI were kept solely for FWD duty.
  13. A dealer told me that the heated windscreen is the filament type, not the wireless type. This was in response to a specific request for clarification and supports what Rifleman and London_Jock have reported. Not sure if that means that Skoda corporate are mistaken or that the heated windscreen type has been changed on later vehicles.
  14. I've been looking at a few different Golfs recently and it appeared to me that adding the wireless phone charging option also added the 2 USB ports in the front (for the Golf that is). It may be a similar story for the Karoq but I've not seen anything to support that.
  15. Also interested in seeing what the Volvo XC-40 will be like. Should be arriving at dealers later this month. Though not sure if the engine and gearbox options are going to be great.
