  1. An absolute pleasure to meet Awesam and so pleased to have found the right man to keep the project going!! I know how much fun you are going to have!!
  2. Thanks to anyone who has taken the time to review the Ad\Thread. I don't think I've correctly conveyed what this car offers to any potential interested parties. From the point I embarked on the project the car has been modified with performance and supporting mechanical upgrades together at each stage to ensure the car was correctly configured to support the increases in power and performance. The result is a car with both performance and reliability that outstrips pretty much everything but looks understated and is am amazingly practical family car too. The upgrades to the car (all new) cost thousands and many of the components still have a high market resale value. I don't want to break the car apart, I simply want to find a buyer who understands what is on offer and can save themselves all the cost and time of doing their own project. In recognition of that I'm going to reduce the price I'm looking for down to £10,500 and hope someone see's the unique chance that is on offer here
  3. Hi Thanks for taking the time to review. The MOT is valid until the end of Nov 2016. Yes all the buttons are functional. Cheers Andy
  4. The time has come for me to sell my VRS project and let someone else take on my epic car. Headline numbers - 345bhp verified on Shark dyno and 500nm of Torque! I've owned the car since new. The car was first registered in December 2009. Throughout the cars life I have taken excellent care of it and began a project to modify it back in 2011. All the modifications have been done by Shark Performance in Mansfield and at every step the car has had mechanical upgrades to support the significant increases in power and performance. A summary of the main modifications is detailed below Cold Induction Kit Full Miltek system resonated K04 Turbo Conversion Addition of a Wagner Intercooler Addition of a Sachs Race Clutch Addition of a Quaife Diff Wastegate Actuator upgrade Diverter Value upgrade Addition of Bilstein B12 kit Addition of Full Polybushing Addition of Porsche Front Callipers Uprated Disks and Pads Shark Performance Stage 3 map and beyond Addition of a brand new Golf GTI steering wheel with Golf R Badge Addition of a Columbus Navigation system inclusive of full hands-free Bluetooth preparation which functions with the GTI steering wheel 2 sets of Alloys – Borbet 18” Alloys with brand new Vredestein Ultrac Vorti Tyres for Summer (less than 100 miles) and 18” original Zenith VRS alloys with Vredestein Xtreme Winter tyres Thule Roof Rack System The car has just under 98,000 miles on the clock but the engine and all the mechanical and performance enhancements were done after 48,000 miles when the engine was changed by Skoda under warranty due to a know issue with a Cam Chain Tensioner pulley that failed. Thus all the major mechanical componentry of the car has done less than 50,000 miles. The car is in amazing condition and totally mechanically sound. I have full service history and all invoices from Shark for all work done. The car has only ever been touched by Shark since I began the project. The car is simply amazing to drive. It's not only an immensely practical family car for day to day purposes, comfortable motorway cruiser but it's also essentially a touring car built for the track. The car can deliver over 40mpg on long runs and consistently manages an average of 33mpg on combined driving which isn't bad considering it has 345bhp+ at its disposal. I'll be gutted to see the car go but I know that somebody else will be better placed to enjoy and further develop it than I now am. As you will see from the thumbnails below then the car is in immaculate condition and the performance is off the scale...see the sweep test graphic. My new 335d m sport is boring and pedestrian in comparison I'm sad to say! I'm looking for the right buyer for the car. No shortcuts have been taken in the project and I'm only interested in hearing from genuine enthusiasts who have a serious interest in purchasing the car. I'm looking for £11,750 ono. You seriously will not find another car like this for sale anywhere in the condition that it is. I look forward to hearing from interested parties! Thumbnails below. Email with any questions. Thanks Andy
  5. Thanks. Fair comment. I haven't really been actively trying to sell to this point but now will be. I'll do as you suggest. Ultimately the car will sell itself to a serious informed buyer. It's immaculate and the performance is off the scale

  7. I've finally made some good progress on cleaning the car up and have uploaded some photos. I will now be looking to sell the car actively in the next few weeks
  8. Not filthy. Just have had too much work on and been away so not spent the time required yet. Hopefully should have a host of pics done by end of March
  9. Hi I've checked with Ben. We didn't need to upgrade the Fuel pump. I've always taken the advice and guidance of Ben and can only speak in the highest terms of their knowledge and capability Cheers Andy
  10. Hi Thanks for the question. I'm working on cleaning the car up and will post lots of detailed pics in due course. I'll check re the Fuel Pump with Shark as I can't remember off the top of my head.
  11. The car has Bi-xenon headlights and leather both of which were factory fit options at time of manufacture
  12. The car was first registered on 10th December 2009 and I'm the original owner
  13. Here is the history of the car. The car has MOT till the end of November 2016 The car has done 98,000 miles but that isn't a real reflection of the age of much of the componentry. In Sept 2011 when the car was just short of 2 years old I had the Stage 1 map done which was amazing in relative terms taking the car from 200bhp to circa 240bhp. In June 2012 when the car had 48,000 miles on it I had an issue with the engine. Skoda tried to claim that the warranty was invalid due to the map but thanks to Ben's help and the support of the parts director at the D.M. Keith dealership in Shipley we were able to prove that the problem was nothing to do with the map and was caused by the failure of a cam chain tensioner, which was a known issue on the derivative of engine I had. Skoda replaced the engine under warranty thankfully! I then had the full resonated Miltek system fitted to the car, the ITG cold induction kit and a Stage 2 map to 275bhp. From there I then continued with a stream of additional enhancements. Next was the addition of Bilstein B12's shortly followed thereafter by full polybushing. I then decided to have the K04 turbo upgrade and the Porsche callipers fitted to the front with uprated discs and pads all round. Given the car was then generating over 300bhp I had the clutch replaced with a Sachs performance clutch and then went on to have a Warner intercooler installed and a Quaife diff. Other changes have been made to support the uprated internals which include an uprated wastegate, diverter valve and even an injector upgrade but I ultimately reverted to the standard injectors. Ben then went on to map the car to in excess of 350bhp all of which they have full records and dyno plots for. As referenced the car also has internal upgrades. It has the full Columbus navigation system installed and a Golf GTI multi function steering wheel with R badge. The car has really only done circa 50k miles since the engine change and all the main component changes. Over it's life I've had wheel bearings replaced, drive shafts reconditioned and wheels laser aligned. The car is in essence a touring car but looks like a family salon. It can be driven as either. The car has only been cared for by Shark Performance and is always taken there for servicing and additional work. Hope that helps!
  14. Hi I've uploaded a couple of pics to an Album from the Shark Open day in 2015. I'm looking for £12k I'll load more photos as I clean her up as the weather improves. Cheers
