Hi all. It would be great if any body could helpme trouble shoot my current problems with my r reg felicia 1.3 mpi Its very difficullt to get the car into all gears especially 1st and 2nd. I have checked the gear box oil and it looks fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated

hi all......i have just put a cd player in my felly 1.3 mpi and the other day i got out my car and forgot to switch the stereo off and my batt was almiost flat.......is it possible to wire this up so that it goes off when the ignition key is pulled out.....many thanks

hi all .......i had my front wheels of the other day to have a look at my brake pads and stuff and i noticed that on the pasenger side the rubber gaitor over the rod ends had came loose.......the gaitor itself is in good condition but is there meant to be grease in there??????.....also how do i clamp the gaitor in place .....do i use a cable tie ingyor some other thngy........also what type of grease do i use and hoe full should it be........im worried that i may have damaged my car by not noticing this.....

thanks lads.......if i used cable ties on my exhuast is it possible to tie them directly to the metal or will the melt?????i suppose i could use metal tie wire........i thought all the joins were pasted together i didnt know they were clamped.....

its a strange one..........the clutch and gear shift feel fine.........my old man......who was a taxi driver for around twenty years mentioned its somthing to do with the flywheel????? it must be really difficult to diagnose with a described sound.......it sounds like a passive noise.....not grindy or whiney just whirry lol....also the thread about the clunking noise recently posted.....my car has this symptom.....maybe connected....hmmmmm

thanks for the replys everyone.....the sound only happens when the clutch is all the way down.....and only happens when the engine is at full operating temp.....the gear shif tis very smooth.......i bought the car from a dealer so im not sure how old the clutch system is......from the service history it seems like its been well serviced and had one lady owner.....hope this one is not expensive.....thanks guys and ladies

hi all.......my r reg 1.3 mpi has a whirring whizzing noise when i dip the clutch pedal.....it goes away when i release it and it only happens when the engine is warm??????? i will be changing the transmission oil tommorow as the car has hit 40600 miles but this noise has me stumped......

hi all.....i just got my fualt code reader off ebay and it tells me the engine has no fault codes....NICE.....BUT THE SRS HAS FAULT CODE 00532.....HMMMM.......COULD SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT SRS IS IS IT THE AIR BAG?????......ALSO I JUST GOT THE FREEDOM MEMBERSHIP AND THE FUALT CODE FINDER DOES NOT SEEM TO WORK.......PROBABLY ME DOING SUMMIT WRONG......

thanks Harryhill.....i changed all the rubbers on the exhaust and it still hangs too low.....it just needs to be about an inch higher over the rear axle to be ok......its driving me nuts.....lol:)

hi all..........my r reg felly 1.3 xli is in great nick but the central part of the exhaust is hitting the rear axle when the car is fully loaded.........this is really getting to me and i took it to see kwikfit and national to ask if they couldadjust it for me but they cant be bothered and just want me to buy a new exhaust from them:finger:...is working on the exhaust system beyond the scope of the average D I Yer????? IT LOOKS LIKE I COULD HEAT THE OFFENDING AREA APART AND MOVE IT FORWARD FOR MORE CLEARANCE OVER THE AXLE...HMMM:confused: ON A LIGHTER NOTE....I HAVE NEVER OWNED A CAR AS ENJOYABLE TO WORK ON AND DRIVE AS THE FELICIA:thumbup:

:Dthanks for the info jeffers. i got my bent plyers from halfrauds and i jacked my felly up and expected to have a really hard job.......going by what a lot of people said that this was a really tough job......it took me longer to jack up the car than to change the filter.....:thumbup:another job done.....

BUT I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A GO A THE FEUL FILTER......IVE HEARD THIS IS A TOUGHY SO COULD YOU GUYS AND LADIES GIVE ME SOME WORDS OF WISDOM ON TOOLS TO USE AND ANY UNEXPECTED THINGS THAT MAY HAPPEN:rolleyes: YOUR HELP WOULD BE GREATLY RECIEVED......

Well .....i Got To Jack Up My Felicia Today And Low And Behold It Was The The Exhuast That Was The Root Of The Problem......... Although The Rubbers Were Badly Worn They Were Not The Cuse Of The Noise.......i Replaced The Two Back Rubbers.... .but I Noticed That The Problem Was That The Noise Was The Part Of The Pipe That Bends Over The Cross Member Was Hitting When The Car Was Laden...... As It Was A New Exhuast Fitted By The Previous Owner I Just Ran Some Sticky Padding Over The Cross Member And Now I Cant Hear Anything While Pulling Away..........

hi everyone.....my r reg 1.3 felicia xli has a strange noise coming from the back end when i pull away in first gear....its a low pitch rumbling type noise and im not experianced enough to tell what it might be.......it only happens when another person is in the front or back....and it does not happen when im in my car myself????????any ideas guys and ladies........ thanks alot joe k

Hi everyone, i have just recently bacame the proud owner of an R reg felicia 1.3 with 39k miles on the clock and looking through this forum has already been a huge help... i have changed the oil and filter and spark plugs and found out that the thermostat housing was broken.......parts ordered from jorily skoda....... but i have my haynes manual and i was going to check the valve clearances and the book says you have to turn the crankshaft to get the valves into the right position to check the gaps but im not sure how to do this:O so any advice on this job would be great....
