  1. thanks for your help, as you can tell from the questions i havent got a clue what im doing! ive replaced the pipework now but that 90 degree elbow has split twice. do you do any track days with your fabia?
  2. I would recommend cleaning up the oil of all the pipes and inspect after a while and look at where the oil residue has built up and come from. I've already gone down the route of replacing the pipework completely. The only problem is now after being a cheapskate and buying elbows off ebay I have yet another split on the elbow off the turbo. I'm currently looking at getting metal elbows and somehow running that off the turbo.
  3. I've had this problem on my Fabia as well but it turned out to be the elbow pipe coming off the turbo had a small but prominent crack, I would reccomend taking off the pipes completely and inspecting in daylight. You may find a small but crucial crack. Also, the original manufacturers pipework is really only good until you start tinkering with it. After you've done that i've found it very difficult for the pipes to still hold pressure.
  4. I've got this problem as well. It didn't take 2 hours to find out and I'm not even a mechanic. One of the boost pipes had a massive leak and after replacement another leak turned up as well. Mine were both on the inside and outside corner of the elbow directly onto the turbo. My question is, has anyone got a solution or custom modification to stop this happening? I'm currently looking to see if metal elbow pipework is available.
  5. Thanks for your help on this, the elbow on this pic. Is that connecting onto the turbo?
  6. Hi there, I wonder if you can help us out. My lower boost pipe keeps falling off at the moment, I wanted to know what pipe work or fittings you needed after the 90 degree bend back on the turbo. I'm currently running the FMIC from Seat Sport and may do a halfway house conversion to this Thanks, Mo
  7. I like the T1Rs, in the wet as well. My housing estate turns into the local skidpan in poor weather conditions and the Toyo tyre is the only one that hasn't given me that squeaky bum moment. That's after trying Marrangoni's which are completely hopeless and Goodyear Eagle NCT5 which were very good in the wet and ok in the dry. That being said I'm interested in trying a different tyre at the moment, Dunlop Sport Maxx RT is in the lead at the moment and after this post I'll think about the Rainsport 2 as well. Thanks for the info.
  8. like most of the upgrades ive put on my Fabia it feels like you take a step forward in performance. the decat exhaust gives you a real noticeable difference in throttle response and overall performance, but i couldnt say exactly how much power gain you get. Definitely one of the best systems to recommend seeing as most hybrid owners go down this route. I dont kno what numbers you're looking for, if youre anywhere near portsmouth you can go all in with jkm motorsport for the system supplied and fitted at around 500. My fabia at the moment is running at 210bhp and 370lb/ft of torque.
  9. I've got a full milltek de-cat system on my Fabia. Sound wise when travelling at normal speeds there's no difference, when you put your foot down you get a relatively loud boomy noise but it isn't horrendous. Performance wise the turbo pick up benefits are very good. You will notice a major difference over the original system.
  10. Sky insurance just quoted me extremely happy by getting me insurance declaring all mods and *ahem* minor motoring convictions with £642!!!! Really friendly service too, I can't reccomend these guys any higher than this. Give them a ring when your insurance comes for renewal! You will not be disappointed!
  11. just to throw my two pennies in, ive had hids for two years passed every mot and never been pulled over for them, even tho they light up cop cars light christmas trees!
  12. Im not a fan of centre badge either but i did it too haha! Only by debadging the rear will you realise why!!!
