  1. Hi, I know it's not what you're after but would you be interested in selling me the passenger side seat rail? It bolts to the bottom of the seat with 8 13mm nuts and 5mm allen-headed bolts. If it helps I can arrange for my own courier. Cheers, Phil.
  2. The weekend we went was for my stag do. Here is a few vids from my laps :
  3. Like I say there isn't a massive amount you'll be able to do about it. You could strip all the inlet system down and clean it out with petrol or something.
  4. With that kind of mileage you'll have a bit of oil seaping into the inlet system via the turbo which is why you've that leak. Your best bet is to take the EGR valve off, clean it and fit it back on with a fresh gasket but without fitting a fresh turbo there isn't going to be alot you'll be able to do about the oil getting in there. I wouldn't worry about it too much although if there is a lot on there you do run the risk of the car running on the oil which can be an issue. Does it use alot of oil between services??
  5. Hi mate,

    I bought this one :

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Medium-TwinPass-intercooler-450-Series_W0QQitemZ220456489755QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item33543b131b

There seems to be three standard sizes, this is the 450mm long one. It's the middle of the 3 sizes.

Good man for having a go - good luck with it and don't hesita...

  6. how we doing mate i have seen you intercooler job i too have been looking in too this which size of twin pass did you get may i ask cheers dave

  7. If the compression test is coming back as good i'd say it was valve stem oil seals. The rocker cover gasket sounds like it want's replacing but if the engine isn't dripping with oil I very much doubt it's the source of your oil consumption issues. Do you get any blue smoke? Were the tips of the plugs oilly when you took them out to do the compression test??
  8. The secret is in the word ‘loan’ guys. Irrespective of what he spends it on he’s still gotta pay it back. I bet a good portion of students use theirs for killing brain cells so a remap is a better investment in my opinion!! Lol.
  9. Gotboost in Llandow (Bridgend) have just become a Revo dealer.Craig the guy who run's the place is a top bloke and know's his stuff. SW-CC (South Wales Car Club) are having a rolling road day there on the 25th of this month - might be worth popping down for a chat etc.
  10. From what I understand it is permanently in the ON position. You have to switch it off manually but it will go back to the ON position each time you leave the car.
  11. Hi guys - wasn't sure where to put this so i've put it in here but Mods feel free to move it should there be somewhere more appropriate : Hi All. To promote the new REVO TECHNIK dealership i have decided to host a VAG only day, offering discount dyno runs and a chance for customers to have the REVO free trials uploaded to their ECUs. VW AUDI SEAT SKODA. This will be held on Sunday 11th October 2009 and limited to 10 places only on a first come first served basis, starting at 10am. This offer is limited to REVO compatable vehicles only! Free Trials Most petrol turbo cars have the option of the totally free trial which last for 5hrs driving time, this will give you a taster for the full product and also an opportunity to chat about potential power gains / upgrades for your car. Unfortunatly there are no free trials for diesel vehicles, please check Revo Technik | ECU Remap | Engine Management Software| Audi Porsche Seat Skoda Volkswagen VAG to see if your vehicle qualifies for the free trial. Of course the free trials are also available on other days too, but a great chance to meet up with other VAG owners and chat about experiences with the upgrades from REVO. Dyno runs Perfect opportunity to have your VAG car dyno tested at a discounted rate to see what its making before considering a remap or before having the free trial loaded. Power runs will be priced at £35 for the whole day, a saving of £10 on normal prices. As a bonus to people already running REVO software, i will setup your map on the dyno and check that everything is operating correctly at the same time as the dyno run for NO EXTRA CHARGE!! Please post a list here if you are attending, and if you would like the free trial loaded and/or dyno testing. If you guys could mirror this on other forums you attend i would appriciate it. 12. I'd love a 240z . . . or an old Skyline (R26 2 door). Got an S13 200sx with an RB26 in it at the mo.
  13. Hi mate, i've got a guy I use - he's really good (used to run an insurance approved place until very recently). He's only in Swansea, right behind Pic-Up Spares in Llandore. PM me if you want any contact details etc.
  14. Get a lower strut brace - that then becomes the lowest point on the car and could save something like that happening. http://briskoda.net/fabia-i/vrs-front-lower-strut-brace/145134/
  15. The theory behind it is that with longer pipework and a larger intercooler it will take longer for the boost to reach the combustion chamber . . . in reality it isn't that bad. I have a big intercooler on my Fabia with fairly minimal pipework and I wouldn't say there is any real noticable increase in lag.
