  2. I know it's an Octavia.....But this is going to look Superb .
  3. Got mine last July from https://gapinsurance123.co.uk Cost me £245.00 for 5 years.
  4. Got one of these a couple of weeks ago http://www.matalan.co.uk/product/detail/s2582622?id=S2582622&color=C177 Good quality and a fair price. I use mine in Wranglers and the width is just right. Checking in the store finder there is 25 stores in Scotland. DM
  5. Spatz or Spats ... Because of the white tips on his paws ! Lovely puppy btw.
  6. Hi Dave I have just done a Google on 'Search Suite' and it's not very nice. Get reliable anti virus software and get rid of it. Regards Tony
  7. Some pics of my old one. Got a 5 door now in Candy White.
  8. I have a shark fin on my F/L hatch (60 reg) and it works fine, even on the driveway between two houses. Had the same model shark fin on my pre F/L estate (07 reg) and that worked just as well. Both my shark fins came from www.visualgarage.com (Canada) and come ready painted. You specify the paint code when ordering.
  9. Nearest Post Code I can find using Google is TS9 6QR which is the village of Newton under Roseberry on the A173. The Topping car park is about 150 yards out of the village.
  10. The plastic bolts just screw straight into the tailgate. There are two threaded inserts fitted to the tailgate No need to remove any trim from inside.
  11. Been using it for 2 years now. Excellent stuff. As Kev says...never used it on a dirty car, always washed it first. DO NOT use it on windscreens. Also good for mirrors in the home and high gloss kitchen cabinet doors ! I ordered the BOGOF pack this morning...
  12. Try www.visualgarage.com They are in Canada, I fitted their shark fins to both my 07 and now my new 60 Octys and they work just fine. They come painted, so you will need to find your paint code. Both my Octys were/are Candy White so I had to use the V W paint code as they don't have Skoda codes on the order form. Best to e-mail them if you have a problem with paint codes. Full fitting guide on the web site. No need to remove the headlining. Tony
  13. Good to see everyone today, nice weather for it as well. Looking forward to the 'Buttertubs Run' ! Thanks for the pic upload tips, Jim H. Sharkfin came from www.visualgarage.com/ Tony
  14. Try removing the battery, pressing and holding down the 'on' button for a few seconds (make sure the PSU is NOT connected). Reinsert the battery and try a switch on. If still no luck the MoBo may (and I stress may) have a fuse somewhere on it. It will usually mean a full strip down and is probably best left to a competent PC technician. (Not saying you aren't competent)! If you do decide to have a go at stripping it down be careful to note that some of the casing securing screws may be of different lengths and MUST go back into the correct holes. Failing this, the wrong screw in the wrong hole could short out and blow the MoBo. (If it hasn't happened already)!

  16. May 07 plate TFSI Candy White Estate 11,600 miles. .......I am so in love !!!
  17. My roof bars a just for decoration ! I would think it may be best to keep them original, as you say the paint may scratch if anything is secured to the bars. Even if you use some form of protection the security of the fitting may be compromised. Just imagine, under heavy braking your bikes bouncing off the bonnet !!
  18. Thanks for the tip about the link. Will have to try it later. I did the same as you with Photoshop and using P/shop even tried the vRS badge in different positions on the tailgate. I took the roof bars off and had them sprayed silver, after doing the front grilles white I thought having black bars on a white car just didn't look right. There are some more pics. up on Flickr Regards DM
  19. Thanks for the tip ! Changed it to Public .... Please try again ! www.flickr.com/photos/55713349@N05/5162032099/ Q ... How do some folks get a 'live' link when they post pictures ?
  20. Here's mine www.flickr.com/photos/55713349@N05/5162032099/ Hope this works...it's the first time I have used the new site for posting !
  21. Cheers BigW ... Will give it a go. Tony
  22. Does anyone know of a way to get the picture of a car either deleted or 'blurred' from Google street view ? Now that street view covers almost all of the UK I am sure there must be a lot of folks want to do this, especially if their pride and joy was parked on the driveway when Google's camera car passed by. Regards Tony
  23. The postie delivered both my Win 7 packs this morning from PCW:D:D...early delivery possibly because of the forthcoming doom and gloom from the Post Office. Looking forward to having fun trying to network to Win XP !!
