  1. why do people give stupid excuses for sellin all the time....
  2. useful though, saves me from opening a new one!
  3. mines beginning to sound like this too. a whining leaking noise (not turbo boost) that does indeed sound like radio interfernce. best get saving for a new turbo!
  4. Aiden - (ignoring all the ones referring to the band 'aiden') the word refers to young men with a similar resemblence to that of Robbie Williams and further take part in the trend of the haircuts fashionably known as 'hitler youths'. 'I'm Aiden and here to tell you that it isn't only Robbie loving angels this way.
  5. if you want stealth, dont touch the damn thing externally, leave it standard!
  6. yea, i also reread what i put and i sound like a tard... hmmmm. i apologize
  7. the s type r if you read was at the wheels..... they couldnt get the clutch hp, hence the s type r, 4.2 v8 supercharged..... if you read my post you could have seen that. plus if i'd have meant a 4.2 litre v8 i wouldn't call it an R. same with the xjrs and the bmw, all at the wheel and NOT the clutch like everyone else is posting. compare the wheel bhp, or add 20-22% on for the clutch power from a rwd car at the wheels. (think this is right! a guy told me at the rr... didnt catch his name but was a decent fella!) Wardy you were right, they were havin problems with it wanting to kickdown all the time. the xjrs le mans celebratory quoted at 293bhp from when new. Its a 5.3 V12.
  8. exactly what i was thinking, rather then than on the motorway home, by the looks of the pipe it was on its way out anyway. so all is well my end! just want awesome to put the videos up on their website, would be good to see the rx8, noble etc etc on video and obviously to compare the mk1 octy's map to mine lol.
  9. man awesome are expensive! not surprising the amount of staff and size of building they have... rates and wages cost a fortune!
  10. the jag is now back and fixed... replace the blown hose and sorted the handbrake that broke on the day.... due to people not taking it off when driving it...... anyway all fixed an all better! threads a bit dead from the figures anyway!
  11. if your worrying about fuel costs, dont bother.... you dont buy a car like that to worry about gettin as many miles the the gallon as you can.... buy a prius...
  12. install amp, run all speakers through it on one channel and the sub on the other. i've also installed 6x9s. sounds the best its gunna get before doing any surgery.
  13. 1) VRSETS ----- Fabia vRS 1.9TDI -- 142bhp / 259ft lbs 2) chrisw880 --- Fabia 1.9TDi -------- 121bhp / 217 lb/ft 3) Sharkrider --- Grande punto -------- 158bhp / 314 lb/ft 4) rk696 ----------MK1 Octy vRS -------- 206bhp / 236 lb/ft 5) rk696's Mate- Focus TDI ------------- 95bhp / 160ish lb/ft 6) Neo_VR ------ Eunos 1.8 --------------125bhp / 108lb/ft 7) Harry_vRS----Octavia vRS Mk2-------348bhp / 354lbft 8) r200ti------Rover 214i-------------------213bhp/232lbft -- breathing mods, std boost 9) Babs ----- Golf VR6 ------ 186bhp / 180lbs-ft 10) GSPK---- Fabia vRS----168bhp / 330lb/ft 11)Leodhasach---Fabia 1.9TDi---140bhp / 247lb/ft---Remapped 12) Aiden---Jag XJRS---209.08bhp---238.69lb/ft 13) Lyndon---Jag S-type R---339.42bhp-403.81lb/ft Both runs at the wheel due to not having readings at the clutch. The xjrs, pipe blown under the radiator, a fair big hole init too! now at preston jag centre. Run wise it was at its most power at its 3rd run, which is odd for a petrol and probbaly suggests it cleared the engine a bit. Made 177mph on the rollers too! The S-type R only ran to 4500rpm. Proved to be difficult to gettin a reading having up to 7 runs to try and get it right, the gearbox kept trying to kick down a gear for the guys(or something like that). the torque was almost instant like yours andrew and didnt drop which i thought to be kinda impressive. I'll put the bmws up when i get them off my friend when i can. was impressed at harrys despite it making a racket, i loved the turbo boost kicking in like it did. to the guy in the golf gti 'only' making 260bhp, i wouldn't worry too much cuz he kinda seemed pretty p*ssed off! A much better day than the last RR i went to due to the variations of motors there!
